It’s Lollipops time once again at Roscommon Arts Centre and we’ve planned a host of events both at the arts centre and in schools throughout the month of October that we hope you will join us for!

The creatures of Whistleberry Forest have discovered a little oak tree growing deep in the woods. However, there are no birds singing, no leaves rustling, and no animals scurrying around its trunk. This delightful musical takes children and adults on an adventure through the forest where they explore instruments, sing, dance and help Oran the owl, Sorley the snail and Faolán the frog bring a little oak tree to life.

Based on the Chris Haughton book of the same title, this delightful tale follows madcap characters each of whom has a plan, they all want to capture a beautiful bird perched high in a tree! Prepare to be enchanted and amazed by this unique and engaging production featuring Magic, Music, Puppetry and lots lots more!” Created and Directed by Paul Bosco Mc Eneaney. Music by Garth McConaghie

Join us for a special school’s edition of “Mote Park, a Time and a Place” Pre-booking essential.

To co-incide with the Lollipops Festival, artists Rhona Byrne and Vanessa Donoso López, Nollaig Molloy and Breda Coyne are working with students from Roscommon primary school’s Gaelscoil de hIde and Scoil Mhuire to create an installation which will transform the gallery.
