Logistics for P5

• Underground visit of CMS Detector with CMS Technical coordination– We are in the middle of LS1 … what is going on on the detector?

• Tour of surface infrastructure and P5 site– What is behind getting a huge experiment like CMS to work– Control Room, Labs, power, cryo, cooling, PC farm etc

• Run Coordination, Technical Coordination and BRIL – We are in the middle of the Weekly Global Run #2– Take advantage of chance to ask questions and participate in getting

the experiment ready, tuning the CMS engine for Run II.– Ask questions about CMS and LHC

• Many experts will be in P5, your guides are special chosen, please take advantage of interacting with them

Outline of the afternoon

• General program– 12:45-13:15 - travel to P5– 13:15-14:20 lunch (tent +picnic)– 14:20-14:30 group photo – 14:30-17:30 talks/visits groups 1,2,3– 18:00 bus return to CERN

• Special program summer students: – As above except– 14:30-15:45 talks/visits summer students– 16:00 bus return to CERN for summer students
