Gold Coasters were treated to smashing weather during yesterday’s solstice, the shortest day of the year. Yesterday, the sun rose at 6.38am and set at 5.01pm, making the day officially 10 hours and 23 minutes long. Today, it will rise at the same time but set one minute later.
