Postal Elections and Polls An extraordinary election and a poll is being held under the Local Government Act 1995. To participate in the election and poll, just follow the simple instructions in this brochure, complete the ballot paper(s) and return promptly by post. You are encouraged to vote in this election and poll, however it is not compulsory. If you choose not to vote, it is important that you dispose of this election package carefully. It is your responsibility to properly complete your ballot paper(s) and elector’s certificate and post them in time to be counted. Instructions on ‘How to Vote’ are on the ballot paper. It is important to read and follow these instructions carefully to ensure your vote counts. Make sure you post your vote in plenty of time, the Returning Officer must receive it before 6.00 pm on election day. Postal Elections and PollsAn extraordinary election and a poll is being held under the Local Government Act 1995.

To participate in the election and poll, just follow the simple instructions in this brochure, complete the ballot paper(s) and return promptly by post.
