In 2013, the State of California implemented a new method of funding public schools called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). This formula is structured to allow for local decision-making for our schools based on Eight Priorities established by the California Department of Education: The process of gathering stakeholder input for the school Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) ensures that the funding is targeted to meet the needs of our students. GOAL 1

❏ Voices restructured its salary scale and provided a

salary raise for teachers in order to attract and retain

high capacity teachers.

❏ An instructional coach and principal will provide

direct support to teachers in the classroom and

deliver professional development to teachers and

paraprofessionals.

GOAL 2

❏ Increase Parent Liaison time to develop and promote

parent involvement.

❏ Provide funding for childcare and parent

meetings/activities.

❏ Provide a yearly parent climate and culture survey.

GOAL 3

❏ Contract and/or purchase enrichment

activities/curriculum for students. Including CCCS

aligned arts enrichments curriculum licensing and

materials, fitness, Typing Without Tears, dance, etc.

❏ Provide regular maintenance and custodial services of

school facility with adequate supplies.

GOAL 4

❏ Adaptive technology-based, standards-based reading

and math programs will be purchased for in-class and

intervention personalized learning opportunities.

❏ Purchase assessment system to measure Spanish

Language development.

❏ Associate Teachers conduct summer CELDT testing

for ELs.

❏ Purchase benchmark assessment licenses for ELA and

Math.

❏ Purchase classroom technology including laptops,

ipads, and projectors needed for blended learning.

Voices Academy will recruit, develop, hire, and maintain highly qualified teachers that will deliver high quality Common Core standard based instruction.

Parents participate in school experiences that assist with student success.

Voices instructional strategies, interventions and support services will be designed to support EL’s and other struggling subgroups. Voices will use standards aligned instructional materials, curriculum, resources and technology that will prepare students for college and career success. All students will become proficient bilingual speakers, readers and writers.

Voices will maintain an engaging, positive, and safe school culture and environment.

En el 2013, el estado de California implementó un nuevo método

para dar fondos a escuelas públicas llamado Fórmula para el Control

Local de Fondos (LCFF). Esta fórmula está estructurada para permitir

decisiones para nuestras escuelas basándose en Ocho Prioridades

establecidas por el Departamento de Educación de California:

El proceso de recolectar opiniones para LCAP asegura que los fondos se dirijan a las necesidades de los estudiantes.

Voices Academy ya obtuvo opiniones de los padres mediante sugerencias el año pasado. Sin embargo, como un socio activo en nuestra escuela, les pedimos que continúen participando en juntas, talleres, encuestas, y grupos de consejería para darnos sugerencias adicionales para así crear un ambiente de aprendizaje óptimo para nuestros estudiantes.

META NO. 1

❏ Voices reestructuró la escala de salarios y dio

aumentos de salarios a maestros para así atraer y

retener maestros de alta capacidad.

❏ La directora y un entrenador de instrucción

proveerán apoyo directo a los maestros en el salón y

ofrecerán desarrollo profesional a los maestros y

asociados.

META NO. 2

❏ Incrementar las horas de la Coneccion de Padres para

desarrollar y promover la participación de los padres.

❏ Proveer fondos para el cuidado de niños durante juntas

y actividades.

❏ Proveer una encuesta para saber qué piensan los

padres acerca del ambiente y cultura de la escuela.

META NO. 3

❏ Contratar o comprar actividades o currículo de

enriquecimiento para estudiantes. Incluyendo currículo

de artes de enriquecimiento alineado con CCCS,

licencias y materiales, baile, ejercicio, etc.

❏ Proveer mantenimiento regular y servicios de limpieza

para la escuela y suministros apropiados.

META NO. 4

❏ Se comprarán programas de lectura y matemáticas

basados en tecnología y estándares para dar

oportunidades de aprendizaje personalizadas en el

salón e intervención.

❏ Comprar sistema para evaluar el desarrollo de idioma

español.

❏ Maestros Asociados imparten los exámenes CELDT

para aprendices de inglés.

❏ Comprar licencias de evaluaciones periódicas para

matemáticas y artes del lenguaje inglés.

❏ Comprar tecnología incluyendo computadoras

portátiles, ipads, y proyectores necesarios para el

aprendizaje mezclado.

Voices Academy reclutará, contratará, desarrollará, y mantendrá maestros altamente calificados quienes impartirán instrucción de alta calidad basada en los estándares de núcleo común.

Los padres participan en experiencias escolares que ayudan al éxito estudiantil.

Las estrategias, intervenciones, y servicios de apoyo de Voices serán diseñadas para el apoyo de aprendices de inglés y otros subgrupos con desafíos. Voices usará material instructivo, currículo, y tecnología alineada con estándares que preparará a los estudiantes para la universidad y el éxito profesional. Todos los estudiantes se convertirán en hablantes, lectores y escritores bilingües.
