didn’t know Los Osos had a chamber. It felt good to represent. One of the attendees we met was a Business Services and Labor Market Specialist of SLO County Department of Social Services Workforce Development Board. She shared with us their Business Resource Guide. This guide is a compilation of key resources and agencies throughout San Luis Obispo County that have services available for most of your business needs. You can check out the WDB Business Resource Guide on our website. – Dawn Rodden

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MESSAGEGreetings Chamber Members, It’s is a few days until June putting us about six months into 2018 and the Chamber has been moving forward with our promise of more partnering, promotion of the Chamber and our members along with providing information to help businesses. The year began with us partnering with Morro Bay, Cambria and Cayucos Chambers for a “Voices Across the Bay” presentation on E-Commerce followed by our annual Business Expo. We published a new magazine formated Membership Directory and will be launching a new redesigned website in a few weeks. For the first time the Chamber participated in the SLO EXPO@the Expo as both a sponsor and exhibitor. It was a wonderful opportunity to share information about the Los Osos/Baywood Park Chamber and our community. Some of the attendees even commented that they

WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR IN AN ANNUAL FINANCIAL REVIEW? Given the complexities of the investment world, you might consider working with a fi nancial professional to help you achieve your goals, such as a comfortable retirement. And, at least once a year, you’ll want to meet in person to discuss your situation. What should you look for in these annual reviews? For starters, you’ll need to evaluate your investment portfolio’s progress to determine if you’re getting the

results you need to keep moving toward your objectives. Also, you’ll need to determine if your investment mix is still appropriate for your risk tolerance. But during these reviews, you should also look at any recent changes in your life, such as marriage, divorce, a new job, or new children, to determine how they might affect your investment strategy. And you may even have changed some of your goals since your last review, so

you’ll want to talk about these new objectives. Clearly, there’s a lot to discuss at your annual reviews. And the more issues you cover, the better you’re likely to feel about where you’re at – and where you’re headed.

RED BARN COMMUNITY MUSIC SERIES PRESENTS THE T SISTERS IN CONCERT LOS OSOS, CA – The T Sisters are a

genuine sister group with Erika (guitar, vocals). Rachel (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Chloe Tietjen (percussion, vocals). Distinguished by close harmonies, catchy melodies and potent lyricism, the T Sisters’ sound represents a continuum of music from traditional to pop influences, moments of breathtaking a cappella to swells of energetic indie Americana. The sisters’ contemporary yet classic sound invites a range of likeness, from the Andrew Sisters and the Pointer Sisters to modern family bands like the Avett Brothers and First Aid Kit. With their soaring sibling harmonies, sassy stage presence, and inventive songwriting, these three sisters embody a fresh and soulful take on folk and Americana music. The concert is on Saturday, June 2nd, in the Red Barn at the Los Osos Community Park. Doors open at 4:30, potluck jam band at 5:00 pm, and the performance is at 6:00 pm. The Red Barn Community Music Series is a monthly concert series showcasing local, regional and national musicians. Your generous donations at the door keep the Red Barn Community Series alive. All proceeds from the show go directly to the artists. The show begins at 6:00pm. BYOB, a dish to share and your own utensils for the potluck supper. This show is made possible through the generous support and assistance of the entire Red Barn Community (aka Children of the Barn) and with support from the Los Osos / Baywood Park Chamber of Commerce.
