Lobby Chair | Sofa Compact Eames Collection
The Lobby Chair consists of three separate uphol-stered elements connect-ed by metal side-pieces. The aluminium frame is the key element of the Lobby Chair’s shape.
Charles & Ray Eames feature among the most important figures of twentieth century design. Their work is multi-faceted: they developed funiture, produced films and photo-graphs, organised exhibitions and designed and built their own house as a pioneering endeavour.

The Sofa Compact dates from 1954. With its tall, slim and slightly angular profile, it is very different from traditional sofas. Designed for both the living room and the office, the sofa is collapsible for easy storage and transportation.

The Lobby Chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1960 for the lobby of New York’s Time Life building. It is an executive chair for offices, conference rooms and waiting areas. Its soft leather upholstery gives it the comfortable feel of a club armchair.

Programme features
Lobby ChairArmchair with armrests, swivel. Side-pieces and base die-cast aluminium, chrome-plated. Pneumatic spring column and support tubes basic dark. Upholstered in leather. Conference chair on four-star base with glides, available for both hard and soft floors. Fixed height. Office swivel chair on five-star base with castors. Backrest angle is adjustable. Seat height can be adjust-ed smoothly by means of a pneumatic spring.
Sofa CompactThree-seater sofa with chrome-plated tubular metal frame. Continuous three-part upholstery. Covers in Tesso (100% polyester Trevira CS 270) or Girard (100% polyester Trevira CS 270). Backrest can be folded down for transportation.
