Chapel Painting1482

Dear Leonardo,

This is Ludovico Sforza, the duke of Milan. I want a religious

scene painted on the wall of the Sistine Chapel. The scene will be

the evening before Christ is betrayed by one of his disciples, the

first celebration of the Eucharist. The painting must be very big,

15x29ft to be exact. It has been sized to fit the whole wall so

everyone who enters the church can see it. Unlike other paintings

it will be painted directly on the wall, there will be no canvas and

frame. It will be located on the wall of the dining hall in the Santa

Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy. The wall on which it will be

painted is large so it may take up to 3 years to make but I expect

Leo’s Newest PaintingLately Leonardo da Vinci,

one of our favorite artists, has been working on a new work of art and is still working on it right now! We had one of our top reporters go give him a visit and get all of the information on his new painting. The painting is called Madonna of the Rocks. He said he started this painting in 1483 but he did not publicly announce it until now. He was commissioned to paint this painting for a nearby church. He said he is very excited to show the art world his newest painting Madonna of the Rocks.
