LNIPE Online Entrance Exam 2020-21 Guidelines

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE CAREFULLY

Part A: General Instructions

1. As a registered participant of the exam, you can take the exam from the comfort of your home, on an online mode.

2. To take the exam,you will need a computer/laptop with good internet connectivity. Please ensure that you have a power back-

up, in case of power failures.

3. It is highly recommended to take the examvia Laptop ora Desktop device for the better experience of exam test screen.

4. The exam starts atspecified exam shift timing’s as mentioned below :

a. Shift 1 : 10:00 AM

b. Shift 2 : 01:00 PM

c. Shift 3 : 04:00 PM

d. We requests you to log in 15 mins before the exam start time. Also read the instructions carefully before you begin your

exam.


5. At the end of allotted time, the exam will get auto-submitted, in case you fail/forget to ‘Submit’ the exam.

6. The questions will be in multiple choice question format. Each question carries 1 mark. There is NO negative marking.NO marks

will be deducted for un-attempted questions.

7. During the exam if your internet connection gets interrupted, the examwindow will close, and you will not be able to move to

the next question& timer will stop then & there. Post establishing connectivity & re-login, you will be able to continue from the

same question when you got disconnected.

a. For e.g., if you havecompleted 10 minutes in the exam, and are on Q.No.15 at the time of disruption, then upon re-

login, you will be able to start from Q.No.15 and get the remaining time.

b. Please Note:- Only a fix number of interruptions are allowed. You will not be able to start the exam again , if you

cross the maximum available limit of interruptions.

c. Please disable all the notifications on your Laptop/Desktop before starting your exam.

8. The exam is remotely managed and , there would be ticket based helpdesk in this exam. You need to raise a ticket with your

error description. Our Helpdesk team will revert with the solution on same ticket. Kindly ensure you have a good internet

bandwidth, and your UPS/laptop battery is charged enough to last the 60Mins/90Mins. Please ensure that all your desktop

notifications are turned off, so that you do not get locked out. There will be no second chance provided.

9. Once you click on Save and Next Button and moved to next question, you will not be able to change or edit the previous

saved answer or un-attempted question. You can only revisit earlier question. Only revisit is allowed, Edit or Change of

selected option is not allowed in exam.


Part B: Screen-by-Screen Guide for accessing the exam

STEP 1: Enter the provided link in web-browser (recommendedbrowser is Google Chrome). The browser zoom must be set to 100%.

Please clear all your browsing history and cache before starting your exam.

STEP 2:Enter the Username and Password[shared in the email]and click on the ‘Login’ button. Username is your Roll Number (Printed

on admit card) &Password is your DOB in DDMMYYYY format.


STEP 3:On successfully logging in, you will see your nameon the ‘Application Summery’ tab. Please click on the ‘Online Assessment’

tab to view the exam link.

Step3: Click on 'Online Assessment' tab

STEP 4: Under ‘Online Assessment’ tab, the exam will appear under the tab named ‘Current’. Click on the ‘Launch’ button to start the

exam.

Step4:Click on ‘Launch'


STEP 5: If your web-browser blocks pop-ups, you will see a ‘pop-up blocker’ message on the URL bar after clicking on ‘Launch’. To get

rid of this error, click on this pop-up blocker icon and select ‘Always allow pop-ups’ option and click the ‘Done’ button. Once again,

click on the ‘Launch’ link.

Step5: Select the option ‘Always allow pop-ups’

STEP 6:Please read the ‘Instructions’ carefully; Select Language “Choose Your Default Language “ dropdown ( Except for P.hd.

Courses ) and then tick the check box and click on ‘I am ready to begin’.



STEP7:Onclicking‘Iamreadytobegin’,theExamwindowopens.

Step7:ExamWindow(Imageisfor representation purposeonly)

1. The countdown timer in the top right (a) of screen will display the remaining time available to complete the exam

b. Answering a question

1. Each question will have 4 answer options.To select your answer, click on the radio button of the option of your

choice.

2. To change your chosen option, click on the radio button of any other option or you can click on Clear Response.

3. Click on‘Save & Next’ button to move to the next question.

4. You cannot Edit a question, after answering the question or left un-attempted (i.e., after clicking on ‘Save & Next’

button).

c. Save&Next 1. Youshouldclickonthe ‘Save&Next’buttonafteransweringeveryquestion.

2. You can go back to earlier questions only for reading, but you can notedit or change the selected option or left un-

attempted.

d. Number Panel 1. This shows the all questions in a panel. You can click on any question number to move directly to that question.

Step8 Once you complete the questions, You can click on “Submit button”. This button will enable only after completing your exam

time.

1. Afteransweringallthequestions,youshouldclickonthe‘Submit’button. 2. On clicking Submit, a Summary screen will appear, showing the number of questions attempted. 3. Please click on proceed. Fill the feedback form and exit the assessment. 4. If you do not click on ‘Submit’ button at the end of total duration ofexam, the exam will be auto-submitted.


IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE!!!

You should only use the computer mouse to navigate through the screens/select the answers.

If the keyboard is touched accidentallyor if you try to open another browser window, the exam will give a warning (see image below)

with a countdown timer of 10 seconds. Click on ‘OK’ before the 10 seconds is over, to resume the exam. In case you do not click the

‘OK’ button, exam will end. You have to login again to continue the exam (till the exam end time). To make it fair for everyone, the

exam accepts a total of 3 ‘accidental interruptions’, beyond which you lose the chance to continue with the exam. In such a case, the

exam will end and you will not be able to re-attempt it. Hence, you are requested to turn off all desktop notifications / interruptions

on your computer for the duration of the exam.



In Case of any issues during the exam. You can raise a ticket by Clicking “ClickHere to Raise Query Ticket” under Helpdesk tab.
