■■ Kitimat LNG, Canada: lean gas

■■ Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, Australia: fully modular

Working with SEGAS LNG, we achieved a world-record performance for a grassroots project on their Damietta facility in Egypt: 35.5 months from EPC award to RFSU. This was the first LNG train for Egypt, the first train of 5 Mt/a capacity, built in world-record time, and remains an industry benchmark for design and execution.

This Proven Reference Design offers many advantages when adapting to site-specific conditions:

KBR has worked with APCI Technology for over 30 years■■ APCI C3MR technology used in majority of world LNG capacity

■■ ‘Industry standard’ confidence in APCI technology and plant performance

■■ KBR & APCI working relationship: co-developed LNG improvements/enhancements

■■ Renowned ‘Green Book’ FEED technology package

■■ Reliable Main Cryogenic Heat Exchanger supplier

■■ Support for debottlenecking and expansion

KBR delivers execution excellence

KBR’s execution strategy shown on our LNG Success Roadmap highlights the steps taken to effectively help you monetize your gas assets. It is a tried, tested and proven roadmap to success.

Studies & Pre-FEED

FEED

With a begin with the end in mind philosophy, KBR regularly achieves a faultless start-up, on-time. Our start-up assurance process begins in pre-FEED,

continues through FEED and right through EPC. Commissioning works closely with all

project stakeholders to help determine the required outcomes.

As the project transitions from FEED to EPC, there exists an opportunity to add real project value through continuing the impetus created in the FEED and making vital decisions to get an immediate start post-FID. These include:

■■ Long Lead Items■■ Necessary early works

commitments■■ Final cost estimate

■■ Early preparation of Purchase Orders

■■ Schedule update(s)■■ Schedule optimization

KBR’s execution strategy provides for an immediate EPC start upon project sanction: including a rapid

start on detailed engineering, procurement, early works, and other necessary steps to help ensure schedule achievement.

As a technology & constructability neutral contractor, KBR works with you to deliver the best solution:

stick built, modular or hybrid. Our lean construction philosophy offers the best path to schedule assurance and faultless start-up.

With hundreds of completed studies and Pre-FEEDs, KBR’s experience and expertise is second to none. We offer a confident pathway to objective project decision making.

KBR understands that a strong FEED, with reliable deliverables, is a prerequisite for project success. With over 20 high quality FEEDs completed since 1990 we offer the confidence of beginning with the end in mind and laying the foundations for a successful project.
