Fair Play Charter for Parents and Supporters

Foxes Little League is organised and run by parent and Club volunteers who wish to provide the opportunity for girls to learn, play and most of all enjoy netball regardless of their ability.

The concept of Little League seeks to ensure fairness in the selection of teams, also not just to reward winning, but equally recognise the importance of trying, improvement, enthusiasm and above all fair play.

All those wishing to participate in Foxes Little League – parents, players, managers and officials – must sign up to this concept.

For parents and children’s supportersChildren develop at different rates and react differently to the same pressure. They are involved in organised sport for their enjoyment not yours.

Encourage your child to play by the rules Teach your child that effort and teamwork are as important as victory, so that the

result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment Turn defeat in to victory by helping your child work towards skill improvement and

positive sporting attitude Never ridicule or shout at your child for making a mistake or losing a competition Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposing team Emphasize enjoyment and fun Praise and reinforce effort and improvement
