LEVELING ACCURACY

Influences on the leveling accuracyTheoverallaccuracyoftheunitcanbeinfluencedbymanyfactors:• factoryaccuracy;• temperatureoftheunit;• ambientinfluenceslikerain, windandtemperature. The factor that influenceson theunit’saccuracymost is theambient temperature.Vertical differences intemperature near the ground can divert the laser beam, similar to the heatwaves seen on hot asphaltstreets.

This factor also applies to alloptical measuringdevices such as automatic levels andtheodolites.
