Introduction

This study consisted of:

Performing measurements on selected routes.

 Analysing these measurements and process some statistics.

Measurement description:

The following equipment was used:

Couei X-CAL v3.1.2

Qualcomm T6275 mobile in car configuration

 Anritsu ML8720B UMTS Scanner in outdoor configuration (external antenna)

The mobile configuration used for this report is:

AMR short call (2’ call + 1’ pauses) in car with UE in automatic mode.

The scanner has been connected in outdoor configuration for each drive.

All the sites were in commercial traffic during the optimisation.

Remarks

Scrambling code analysis :

All sites were on air during the first drive.

Due to very low values of the initial antenna tilts, there are areas covered by a high number of 

sectors. This produces a best server problem in this areas.

RSCP analysis :

The RSCP level is good in most of the areas. But, all the sectors had a very low initial tilt. A slight

decrease in the RSCP level is expected, as these sectors have to be down-tilted to reduce the

overshooting. A gain in the RSCP level can only be obtain by adding new sites.

EcIo analysis :

There are some cases of areas with bad EcIo. These areas must be investigated to see whether 

he quality problems come from overshooting or lack of coverage.

Remarks

Scrambling Code Analysis :

 All sites were on air during the final drive.

Most of the best server problems have been solved.

RSCP Analysis :

There are some areas with low RSCP level, especially the one west to Semenarna site, but this

is mainly due to lack of sites in these areas.

EcIo and EcNo Analysis :

The EcIo improved in the areas considered for optimisation. Very few zones remain with low

quality level; these zones are to be optimized further in the acceptance phase.
