Since 1985 Proteus has been providing energy efficiency services and serving the under-served and un-served communities. Proteus is a direct contractor with the public utility companies such as Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Gas Company to implement the Energy Savings Assistant Program (ESAP). Proteus prides itself on the ability to provide high quality customer service and safe installation services. We are interested in primarily serving as a solar PV Contractor. We have staff that has been trained in LIHEAP and solar PV installation. We have low-income home solar installation experience and have installed 6 low-income home solar installations over the past year. We can also serve as an EE subcontractor as well. We also provide low-income home turf conversion and water conservation measures installation (e.g., high-efficiency toilet installation). SJCC&CS has deep roots in the community and we are 'state-certified' through the Resources Agency each year to ensure that they follow best management practices. The conservation corps workforce development 'earn and learn' model has lifted tens of thousands of people across the state from poverty to prosperity. Conservation corps provides key academic and career technical education services that remove the major barriers to employment for under-serviced, low-income young adults that are in danger of becoming permanently disconnected and disenfranchised from society. The SJCC&CS has conducted outreach and intake to low-income communities for 29-years as part of our charter high school and career technical education training programs. We have served over 20,000 young adults (ages 18-27) since our inception in 1987. We have deep connections with our community and have utilized multiple outreach channels including community presentations, engagement through our networks and partner organizations as well as social media, door-to-door, radio, TV, mail, etc. The SJCC&CS staff has experience with green loans, power purchase agreements, on-bill financing, rebates, lines of credit, feed-in-tariffs, and grants in regards to financing. Our staffs have extensive experience in procurement and inventory management with CSD LIHEAP WX/EE programs and procurement of large quantities (25,000) of ultra-low-flush toilets. -------------

Rising Sun has operated a direct-install residential energy efficiency and water conservation program, California Youth Energy Services (CYES), since 2000. CYES employs local youth to deliver this program in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Joaquin, Solano, and Sonoma. Rising Sun has the capacity to serve as a Regional Administrator in Region 2, and is also interested in working as an implementer of direct-install energy efficiency, outreach, and/or workforce development services in other regions, by running the CYES program within the LIWP model.
