living your colour, living your style
Behind the scenes: Every year 50,000 plants are sown and assessed. Only the very finest
specimens are selected. It takes 8 to 10 years to develop and market a new Hortinno
cultivar. This process requires keen craftsmanship and a monk’s patience. Only the very
finest cultivars, which are grown in an environmentally friendly manner and pass the
strictest quality checks, finally receive the exclusive Hortinno label. So if you are looking for
something innovative and of impeccable quality, Hortinno® is the way to go!
This brochure, or the QR code, will introduce you to the many advantages
Hortinno® has in store for you as well as the extensive Hortinno® range.
After 25 years of careful plant breeding there is a Hortinno® for everyone’s taste,
every lifestyle, every generation and every interior, from classic to contemporary.
A flowering Hortinno® is a veritable explosion of colour and an added touch to your
interior. The Hortinno is available in a wide array of colours. Choose and experience
your very own Hortinno®! Hortinno®, colour for every interior!
Hortinno® stands for a combination of ‘horticulture’ – which refers to the professional
horticultural sector – and ‘innovation’. For 14 years Hortinno has been marketing the most
innovative and high-quality breeds to capture the imagination time and time again. They
are distinguished from the regular azalea by their particularly lustrous leaf surface,
unique colours, pronounced character, extended flowering periods, …

Communication
Hortinno® communicates actively in the chain: we inform our trading partners when our
varieties are available, announce new developments, and introduce new cultivated
varieties on a regular basis.
5. Hortinno® market supportRecognisable and a unique label
Any Hortinno® is immediately recognisable at the sales point: the striking character of the
plants themselves is reinforced by a neat and recognisable Hortinno® label. 1. The label
inspires the consumer and links the plant to his own house style. It provides correct care tips
and is a unique copy of a continiously numbered series. This makes Hortinno® a quality label
par excellence!
Five reasonsfor including Hortinno® in your selection

1. Greater consumer satisfaction• A long period of bloom (4 to 6 weeks) is Hortinnos number one sales argument
• Ever new, enhanced species with distinctive features such as lusciously glistening
leaves, unique colours, character,…
• Pure: these are Hortinnos which do not shed brown petals when the flowers open.
This is really innovative and means less maintenance for consumers
2. Wide selection• Hortinno® has a selection of 16 exclusive varieties in various colours and plant
shapes
• The selection is available in an extensive range of pot sizes
• Range available as of 10 December until end of May
3. Constant top quality & durability• Our internal quality control guarantees quality
• Hortinno® supplies only ecologically cultivated plants and to this end is a participant
in the Flemish Environmental Plan for Ornamental Horticulture
4. Exclusive distributionTo maintain its exclusiveness, Hortinno® restricts its sales to specialised traders: skilled
people who wish to distinguish themselves by their quality and service! Production num-
bers in the nursery are also continuously brought in line with anticipated European market
demand.
Five reasonsfor including Hortinno® in your selection
New developmentsPureHortinno® continues to innovate: we are launching four Pure
types on the market. These are Hortinnos which do not shed any
brown petals when the flowers open. This is really innovative and
means less maintenance for consumers!
Today, Kinku Saku®, Yankadi® Scarlata, Noralinde® Belli and
Christine® Scarlata are four Pure Hortinnos.
