    Cornea is the clear, transparent, tissue covering the

    front of the eye. It serves as a window to allow light toenter the eye. Vision will be dramatically reduced or lostif the cornea becomes cloudy due to disease, injury orinfection.

    Inform your near and dear about eye donation.

    It is your moral obligation.

    Close the eyelids of the deceased

    Switch off the fan

    Cover the eye lids with wet cotton. Raise the head of the deceased slightly by placing

    a pillow underneath

    Contact the nearest eye bank as quickly as

    possible. Eye donation can be done only with the written

    consent of the near and dear.
