The Survival of Jerusalemcontinued from page 3 . . .

this when Israel is fighting Gaza, weall want to know whats going tohappen in the Middle East. . . . Let

them show the former things, whatthey be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them. . .Were told, categorically, thatformer things that happened in theMiddle East are a help to us inunderstanding the latter. Isaiah says,. . . or declare us things for tocome. Show the things that are tocome hereafter, that we may knowthat ye are gods. . . If you follow

this back into biblical history, youwill find a fascinating prophecy thatconnects to it. Isaiah 10:22-25 says,For though thy people Israel be asthe sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: The consumptiondecreed shall overflow withrighteousness. For the L ORD GODof hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of allthe land. Therefore thus saith theLORD GOD of hosts, O my peoplethat dwellest in Zion, be not afraidof the Assyrian: he shall smite theewith a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, andmine anger in their destruction.Assyria did take Samaria and thehouse of Israel captive, but did not

take Judah. And the L ORD of hostsshall stir up a scourge for himaccording to the slaughter of Midianat the rock of Oreb: and as his rodwas upon the sea, so shall he lift itup after the manner of Egypt. And itshall come to pass in that day, thathis burden shall be taken away fromoff thy shoulder, and his yoke fromoff thy neck, and the yoke shall bedestroyed because of the anointing.

What follows in the tenth chapterof Isaiah is very interesting. A listof towns follow. If you have an

atlas, look up all the cities listed inverses 28, 29 and 30. Notice:following them village by village, you will see how they got down to aplace called Nob. Nob is withinsight of Jerusalem. Verses 32-34say, As yet shall he remain at Nobthat day: he shall shake his handagainst the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. Behold, the Lord, the L ORD of hosts, shall

lop the bough with terror: and thehigh ones of stature shall be hewndown, and the haughty shall behumbled. And he shall cut down thethickets of the forest with iron, andLebanon shall fall by a mighty one.Time and again throughout history,Lebanon has gotten caught in thecrossfire between those trying todestroy Jerusalem, only to findherself destroyed. This echoes whatJohn saw at the gathering atArmageddon, when armies movedsouth from Armageddon towardJerusalem and died before they gotthere. This continues in Zechariah. But space does not permit goingthere. Please read the 12th chapter foryourself. We dont know how muchtime we have left. But there has

never been a time in history whenwe have needed more to pull up ourspiritual socks. Be always on thewatch, and pray, that you may beable to escape all that is about tohappen, and that you may be able tostand before the Son of Man (Luke21:36 NIV Study Bible). With the horrible bloodshed andfighting going on between the nationof Israel and Gaza, even as this is

written, it makes one wonder where itwill end. These are perilous times andyou have never needed to be

informed more than now. Andyouve never needed to get yourChristian life in order more thannow. You need this CD titled TheSurvival of Jerusalem . Its FREE .Just call and order it today, orreturn the enclosed card.
