ThisrecipeisoneofHugo’sfavourites!Atrustylivercake,withthicklayersofyoghurticing!Ingredients:
1cupoats(250ml) 1cupflour(weusedglutenfreeflour) 450gliver(weusedlambsliver) ¼cupcoconutoil 1egg 1cupwater
Fortheicing:
200gyoghurt 4teaspoonsflour 1teaspoonXanthangum
Todecorate:
Gravybonesorsimilar Coconutshards(youcouldalsousecheese) Avarietyofyourdog’sfavouritetreats

Step1:Heattheovento180degrees.Greaseacaketinusingcoconutoil.Weuseda6-inchcaketinwithaspringbottom.Step2:Addthelivertoafoodprocessorandpulsetocreateapaste,thenaddtheflourandcoconutoilandblendtogether.Themixturewillresemblepateintexture.Step3:Addintheoats,eggandwaterandpulsetheingredientstogether.Nowthemixiscomplete,spoonitintothecaketin.Step4:Bakeinthecentreoftheovenforaround30minutes.Step5:TocreatetheicingaddtheyoghurttoabowlandgentlystirintheflourandXanthangum.Theyoghurtwillthickenandbecome‘marshmallow’likeintexture.Step6:Oncethecakehascooledcompletelyitistimetoiceanddecoratethecake!Spreadtheicingontothetopofthecake.Youcoulduseapipingbacktocreatedifferenteffects.Decoratethecakeusingcoconutshardsandavarietyofyourdog’sfavouritetreats.Usealittleicingto‘glue’gravybonesorsimilararoundthecircumferenceofthecakeandfixinplacewithadecorativeribbon.Thecakeisbeststoredinanairtightcontainerinsidethefridge,andwillkeepforupto5days.Ifyouprefer,youcouldcutthecakeintoslicesandfreezethemindividually,thiswayyoucouldtreatyourdogtoasliceeverysooften–justallowthecaketodefrostfor24hoursbeforeyouletthemtuckin!
