NUGGETS FROM THE BIBLE From the Pastor’s Desk A special thanks to the Live Oak UMC family for
making the Easter season so very special. God
blessed us in so many ways during this season with
reports of His Amazing Grace reaching into the lives
of so many.
We are looking forward to April and the amazing
weather that we usually enjoy in April. My prayer is
that as we enjoy the beauty of God's creation we will
praise Him for His marvelous creation.
Many are also enjoying the History Channel series
Monthly Newsletter of
Live Oak United Methodist Church
Living by Faith
April 2013
"The Bible." According to the ratings it is one of
the more popular series playing on television. Due
to the popularity of this series, there are many
questions that people are asking about the Bible.
Many ask “Is it credible, relevant, and true?”
Others ask “How was it collected (put together)
and why do followers of Jesus refer to it so often?”
In the month of April we will be looking at how
"God has spoken." We will address how God
has revealed His will, character and instruction to
us through His Creation, His Word and His Son.
I hope you will join us for this new series in
April, which will hopefully inspire and inform you
on how God has revealed Himself to His creation.
I hope to see you Sunday! Mark Crosby

John 3:16
“God so loved the world
that He gave His only
begotten Son that
whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have
everlasting life.”
As believers we are saved forever by grace through faith, forgiven, accepted, beloved of God, walking in newness of life, baptized into Christ Jesus, the temple of the Holy Spirit, clothed with Christ, holy, blameless, at peace with God.
We are born again partakers of the divine nature, empowered by God, children of promise, one in Him, the body of Christ, seated in heaven, kingdom citizens, a royal priesthood, vessels of honor, salt of the earth, light of the world, soldiers of Christ, fishers of men, ministers of reconciliation, victorious, alive forever.

There are many day to day tasks in our church carried out by volunteers. They do this not for personal gain but because they have a servant’s heart. It is a service they do for God and their church. The Thrift Shop has over 20 volunteers. Listed below are some other volunteer opportunities. If you know of someone participating in these areas, please tell them thank you. Please let me know of any that have been left out. (Peggy Langlois 665-1314).

There are people who are not able to volunteer but help our church by praying for it. Thank you to all who pray and/or volunteer. I believe this goes a long way in making our church the church that it is.

Dear Friends:
Thank you for coming to the aid of Westminster Presbyterian Church in the aftermath of the devastation caused to our church home by the February 10, 2013 tornado. In our hour of need, we are truly blessed and grateful for your compassionate response and generous action.
With God’s help and with your prayers and continued support, our church family will rebuild our beloved Westminster. It will again stand proudly as a sign of His spirit at work in the world.
Please know we value your friendship and you caring outreach to us. Your concern reminds us all of the wonders of our Savior’s goodness and grace. Thanks be to God for our loving neighbors.
Yours In Christ, Barbara Stallcup
