Live by Every Word of Scripture

Researched by Pastor Gary Boyd

Some Christians have a incredible curiosity of what is to come, including the appearance of the blessed hope, including this writer, who loves Bible prophecy. It is like

the topping off to a great feast of the word, our favorite dessert. Our appetite for the Lord’s return is insatiable. The more we learn the more we want to learn. It truly excites and nourishes our souls.

It blesses us so much we wonder why others don’t want the same blessing. It is difficult to think many are not interested in it and it is hard for us to understand when we have been into it for a long time.

Chosen by God

The Bible’s prophets were people that were chosen by God to speak his words. We are told this at different times throughout the Bible, including in this verse from Hebrews 1:1,2,NIV, “In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in those last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things and through whom he made the universe.”

Some Bible scholars have stated there are about 2,000 prophecies in the Bible or the equivalent of 27% of Bible verse.

The Tempter

When Jesus began His ministry the tempter went to Him and said:

“If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” And our Lord answered, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:3-4).

If every word that in the Bible comes from God than over 27% is Bible prophecy and we are to live by every word from the scripture, right? Then why do so many Christians ignore Bible prophecy and what it says about the coming of our Lord. You would think that if they are who they claim to be they would praying down our Lord

and saviour Jesus Christ, wouldn’t you? The Word of God is more important than food and mankind must live by every word that comes from God’s mouth, is that not so?

We are Commissioned to Tell The World

Paul said his famous teaching on the resurrection and Rapture came by the word of the Lord (1 Thess. 4:13). He told every believer to comfort one another with this teaching (1Thess. 4:18). Instead of avoiding the subject, tell people about it, tell the world, the faster the Gospel is spread unto the whole of mankind the sooner our Lord will appear. His word tells us when his word is spread unto the whole planet then he will come. Why not facilitate it then?

The Revelation of Jesus Christ says: “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19:10b).

Those who ignore the Revelation of Jesus Christ (the book of Revelation) are ignoring part of the testimony of

Jesus. Solomon, perhaps the wisest man who ever lived said:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Prov. 1:7). Ouch!

Peter, the outspoken leader of the 12 original disciples, said:

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy whereunto ye do well that ye take heed” (2 Pet. 1:19).

Fools despise wisdom and instruction, but a person does well to pay attention to prophecy. The world (and obviously the U.S.) is in a big mess exactly because we have fallen away from the faith and do not live by every word in scripture.

Who to Choose

Page 6: Live by every word of scripture

The 2016 presidential election is looming and many citizens are wondering which candidate is the best qualified to lead us out of the mess.

God has a word of hope for Christians:

“Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

Our hope is the appearance of our God and Saviour not who wins the election. Many people are afraid of the Rapture and Second Coming, but the Rapture is the Christian’s hope, the blessed hope—not something to be feared or dismissed.

Paul told Timothy:

“The things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2).

Today's Preachers Ignore Prophecy

Page 7: Live by every word of scripture

Experienced preachers should share Paul’s teachings with others, and those others should pass them on to others, etc. But experienced preachers can’t pass along Paul’s prophetic messages if those experienced preachers ignore them. How can they come to the full knowledge of the Lord when they do not preach the entire bible to the congregation?

Perhaps, that is why so many new preachers are poorly prepared today. Experienced preachers are not doing their job and it is hurting the church.

Perhaps this is why Jesus instructed His disciples in the Great Commission “to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:20). He probably knew that many experienced preachers would leave out some of what He said.

Why would anyone who believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God deliberately ignore God’s view of the future? Wouldn’t people be better off knowing God’s

Page 8: Live by every word of scripture

view of the future than they would be if all they get is the world’s view of the future?

The Devil’s Work

I believe this is the devil's work to deceive the many into not knowing what prophecy says because the devil is in the verses and he does not want known what will happen to him or his role on what is to come because that would stop him from sucking more souls into the abyss. He survives on devious doctrines of diabolical deception and who better to deceive the whole world then the father of all lies and deception. Maranatha.
