leadership” theme and engage our families in living the gospel message of compassionate service and generosity to others.

The Hurricane Harvey Relief Rally will take place next Friday, September 15 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., just before the home football game and SMCS Football Grade & Middle School Night. Entertainment and raffles will be featured, and non-perishable items and cash or checks made payable to Catholic Relief Services or The Red Cross will be collected. SMCS is also participating in the National Catholic Educational Association’s (NCEA’s) "Student to Student: A Catholic School Response to Hurricane Harvey" campaign that is asking every Catholic school family around the country to contribute at least $1 per child in their family to help Catholic schools impacted by the storm. Each SMCS campus will collect cash or checks made payable to NCEA, Student to Student Campaign now through September 21. Upcoming Wines Around the World Event

Interested in an adult night out? Come join us for a Texas Hold'Em Tournament at the home of the DeWitt Family on Saturday, October 7th, 2017, starting at 6pm. No experience is needed, so don't be hesitant if you aren't a big poker player. Those that want to play will enjoy the tournament (with a cash prize!) and those that don't want to play can relax and enjoy some good drinks and appetizers. A donation to the school is all that we ask, if you decide to come. Please contact Liza DeWitt ([email protected] or 920-428-9435) by Monday, October 4th, if you are interested. Family Sign Up Sheet

Celebrate the new school year with your fellow SMM Families at a fabulous evening of food and

fun! Enjoy great activities: Hay ride, frog catching, and a campfire. Visit with old friends and

meet some new! This event is definitely the kids’ favorite!

Enjoy chili, hot dogs, chips, fresh veggies; Apple juice and water will also be served.

Afterwards, roast your own marshmallows or build a s’more at the campfire!

This is a casual, “play clothes” event. Rain boots, old sneakers, jeans and sweatshirts, etc. are

perfect attire. Also, bring your dollar bills because glow necklaces will be sold at the event for

when it gets dark.

Of course, we need some help to make this family fun night happen. Please see the Sign Up

Genius found in the SMM newsletter to sign up and help!

Also, we need to know how many to plan for, so please complete the portion below to secure

your spot. Include your cash or check made payable to “SMCS- FACES” and put “Homestead Meadows” in the memo and return to the SMM Office by Monday, September 18th.

Please feel free to call or email us with any questions.

We hope to see many of you on the 21st!!
