Little Shop of Horrors book & lyrics by Howard Ashmanmusic by Alan Menken

I am going to see Little Shop of Horrors with

______________________________________(Insert name of companion or companions)

2

A play is a live form of entertainment. Actors will be right in front of me in the theater.

3

The show is on May 11 at 2:00 pm, but I can go and see my seats

early that day at 1:00 pm.

4

Little Shop of Horrors takes place at Trinity Rep in the Lederer Theater Center at

201 Washington Street in Providence, Rhode Island.

5

I can bring fidget toys, non-crunchy snacks, and__________________(name of object) with me to the play.

If I bring a snack and it has any type of packaging, I will open it before the play to not disturb

other audience members, or the actors.

6

When I arrive at the theater, I may have to wait in line at the Box Office to pick up tickets.

I will try to be quiet and stay with

__________________________(name of companion)

while we wait for tickets.

7

When we go into the lobby, someone witha Trinity Rep name tag will show me where to go.

8

At this time, if I need to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water, I can go with

________________________________(name of companion).

9

I can either take the elevator of stairs to get to the 3rd floor.

10

An usher will show me where to enter the theater.

11

At 1:00 pm, there is a prologue in the Chace Theater.

A prologue is where a member of Trinity Rep talks about the show and

the behind-the-scene process without spoilers. This is optional so I can go if I want to.

12

My companion and I have tickets that tell us the row and number of our seats.

We need to sit in these exact seats because they are reserved for us.

This is not a choice!

13

Someone will show my companion and me where seats are.

14

The show begins at 2:00 pm.

Before the show, someone will tell us we cannot use phones or cameras

in the theater during the show.

15

Once the play begins, I will watch actors performing in the same room as me.

16

The story is about a man-eating plant that wreaks havoc on a failing florist shop on Skid Row.

17

The play includes scenes of murder and the plant looks frightening, but it is really a puppet,

and the violence is not real.

18

If I get scared or overwhelmed, I can go with _____________________(name of companion)

to the lobby to relax.

I can also watch from the back of the audience on the bench seats.

19

I can count to 10 slowly, take 5 deep breaths,

or use______________________(name of favorite fidget toy)

20

When — or if — I’m ready to return to my seat, an usher can help me back into the audience.

21

Halfway through the play, we will have a break to stretch, go to the bathroom, or get a snack.

This is called an intermission.

22

The intermission will last 15 minutes. Afterwards, we will return to our seats

to watch the rest of the play.

23

When the play is over, I can show that I enjoyed it by giving them a big round of applause!
