There is an art to making pizza and an art to making a product or business stand out from competitors. Social media is the best way for larger corporate chains to get more personal and interactive with customers instantly. Twitter is a great medium to interact directly with customers. Whether that means providing customer service to unhappy customers, or joking with users claiming to have gone to a competitor pizza place. Creating a clear brand voice that is personal with customers is important to the success of the business. Little Caesar’s could benefit by implementing these three ideas into their social media plans. TARGET AUDIENCE: The target audience is both men and women 18-24-years-old that are also college students on a tight budget. Target audience likely has a busy schedule with classes, part time jobs and social lives. Target has limited time and money to put towards meals, but also want quality food for their money. They want a quick and easy way to order food at the touch of their phone screens. IDEA #1: Create a Voice on Twitter Twitter is one of the most attractive apps on the market for 18-24- year-olds right now. It’s the best way to reach the target with simple, short, and sometimes even funny messages. The way Little Caesar’s uses their twitter currently is effective, but not as effective as it could be. Instead of retweeting many pictures of a featured product, or retweeting tweets from other users, the brand should develop more of a voice and personality. Pizza is the way to America’s heart. There is an art to making pizza and an art to making a product or business stand out from competitors. Social media is the best way for larger corporate chains to get more personal and interactive with customers instantly. Twitter is a great medium to interact directly with customers. Whether that means providing customer service to unhappy customers, or joking with users claiming to have gone to a competitor pizza place. Tweets should:

• Be simple and original • Interact with customers in a fun, creative way. • Create brand familiarity, which over time creates brand loyalty. • Respond to customer service tweets in a professional, kind manner.

This is not to say that Little Caesars should never retweet content from customers, but rather filter retweets occasionally between three or four original tweets. It’s also very beneficial to post tweets with polls, or interesting ways to interact.

IDEA #2: Revamp of Overall Instagram Look In terms of popularity, Instagram is almost as influential as twitter and essential to the development of a company’s brand and image. The term “insta-worthy,” refers to whether a picture is aesthetically pleasing enough to post on the mobile app Instagram. Little Caesar’s seems to have a similar approach to the way they use Instagram, as they do twitter. The primary type of posts is more advertising and promotional based. Photography, even if it is from an iPhone, is an important factor of the overall success of an Instagram account.

• Predominantly advertisements. -- Color scheme evident. • Not as appealing while scrolling -- Unique, eye-grabbing posts.

through timeline. -- Fun. • Not much of a color scheme.

To improve the look of the Instagram page:

• Choose 3-4 main colors and make page look cohesive with the individual posts.

• Encourage customers to send in photos of them enjoying a slice of delicious pizza, or other specialty item. --This generates new content to post that will mix up your everyday advertising and promotional postings.

• Find interesting angles and out-of-the box ideas to post. Get creative! IDEA #3: Increase Traffic that Visits Page If there’s one thing college students love, it’s a discount or special offers. Little Caesar’s has different $5 deals, but the brand could benefit greatly from more promotional discounts for the target. These could be based on following the company on any or all their social media platforms, liking them on Facebook, or participating in some sort of sweepstakes.

• Gives more people reason to follow you. Increasing your following:

• More followers = more customers • Puts the idea in their mind to order from your restaurant specifically based

on how many times you post a day/how effective posts are. • New content will attract new, younger followers.

LITTLE CAESARS PIZZA 6 In a normal week without holidays, Little Caesars should try to post: • 1-3 original posts a day on Instagram, occasionally reposting other

photos throughout the month. • LC should post 2-4 creative and original tweets a day, and retweet

other users comments intermittently. • Little Caesars has been using the live video feature on Facebook,

and that should continue to happen. Following trends on Facebook is just as important as any other platform. Videos prove to be very effective.
