letter from the editor,
Wedding design has never looked so good
until now. This issue is our very first wedding
edition of Little Bit, we'll be sharing wedding
designs from designers all over the United
States. Along with exquisite tabletops and
superb centerpieces, we bring you details
about how the smallest rhinestone, to the
most stunning centerpiece, there are cer-
tain elements of table décor that cannot be
overlooked. You’ll also see how event design
takes their cues from the fashion world; we
pair table color palettes with children’s fash-
ion. We hope to inspire you with fresh new
ideas that will set your wedding apart from
others and showcase the inner artist in you.
But ultimately, when it comes to planning a
wedding, love will get you through it all. So let it flow and enjoy the wonderful process.

our creative space If you have ever had to work in a place
that didn’t exactly get the creative juices
flowing, you probably understand the im-
portance of a nice workspace. When our
three year lease expired it became nec-
essary to relocate, and the result is this
beautiful creative working space.
We wanted the color of our studio to be
inspiring inviting space where we would
enjoy spending time. We found pieces
that made us feel inspired and decorated
our workspace with them. The pieces did
not have to directly apply to the work that
we produce in the space, but something
that makes us happy. Being surrounded
by things that make you happy can spark
new thoughts and create an appealing at-
mosphere to work in. We were able to ac-
complish this pretty inexpensive by cre-
ating design boards from magazines and
incorporating things that were already
around our home.
Inspiration is an important part of our creative process. When we
create we want to have inspiration around us to keep us inspired.

ries for a bright modern look.
One of our favorite elements is
the Poppin acrylic aqua ruler.

Close your eyes imagine a big, blank canvas. How
would you decorate it for your wedding? What theme
would you have? What colors would you choose? Get
creative. You know you’re just longing to let your vi-
sions run loose. Dream big. This is your big day, after
all. Do it your way. Make the uniquely stunning vision
in your head become reality.

In table design, tiny details can be
tricky. But when color and details blend
delicately in this lovely sophisticated
design, a work of art is born. Tones of
pink with accents of yellow and green
create a lively, yet somehow still calm-
ing, result.

Roses are the ultimate symbol of love. With their modest, elegant design, they
have become an everlasting standard of love and romance. Feminine petals
come in a colorful array of colors, each hue having its own unique meaning.
This is one flower that has endured the test of time and it appears its classic
splendor will be cherished for years to come.

Color makes any table so much
more inviting. If you’re having a
summer wedding you can use
bold colors and soften the look
by including delicate summer
flowers and the perfect details.
Our favorite is definitely the
cluster of white vessels – stun-
ning detail.

Don’t these colors give you a jolt of
happiness? These fiesta inspired flo-
ral arrangements are absolutely di-
vine, from the bouquet with its loose
ribbons to the incredibly unique
boutonnieres for the gents! We just
can’t help ourselves but obsess over
those mini terra cotta pots with bold
blooms, paired with confetti and
die cut place cards, all designed to
perfection.

These two have dated for so long that this day, and that moment, had been highly an-
ticipated for such a long time. Clare got out of the car and walked towards her groom.
As she rounded the corner, Matt looked up and saw the most beautiful bride.
Clare and her dad finished the daddy/daughter dance; Mr. Brown asked to share a few
words. Now you need to understand that Clare and her younger sister adore their dad.
Mr. Brown had the microphone and he thanked everyone for being there and then he
started to tell a story. He said that 26 years ago, he was putting Clare to bed and it
just happened to be her 1st birthday. After he kissed her goodnight he explained that
it suddenly hit him just how fast that first year flew by. He mentioned that when he
has moments like this, he tends to write exactly what he’s feeling. And so on Clare’s 1st
birthday, he wrote her a poem that he wanted to read to her on her wedding day. 26
years later, Mr. Brown stood in front of his beautiful daughter at her wedding reception
and read her the sweetest poem. After everyone wiped away the tears, the food was
served and the celebration began.

Blush, petal, fuchsia, cerise, magenta….. how many shades of pink could there possibly
be? Well we pretty much covered them all for Laura and Ray’s wedding at the Ritz
Carlton Philadelphia. Their wedding was a mixture of soft and romantic…. to deep and
rich tones…. all accented with gold, which fits perfectly in line with the rich and regal
aura of the Grand Ballroom. The gorgeous floral included a stunning bouquet of cat-
tleya orchids, peonies, cymbidium orchids, and phalaenopsis orchids. The ceremony
wreath — at a whopping five feet in diameter — was composed of every color pink we
could possibly find! The escort card arrangement had a chandelier-type feel with an
abundance of crystals accented with hand-strung blush dendrobium orchids hanging
in the center of the table. The centerpieces varied from table to table and each had a
coordinating shade of pink as the napkin and cushion. Laura and Ray’s wedding was
truly a romantic experience for all of the guests.

Martha and Robert's wedding was on a beautiful spring day at the Barrington Hill
Farm. They've been together for 9 years, so most of the guests were close family and
friends. Martha is a graphic designer by trade, so the beautiful invitations and save the
dates were designed by her. Besides having similar professions, Martha and Rob have
similar taste… I love every decision they made for their wedding. The colors, floral,
suits/ties, and of course, Barrington Hill Farm a beautiful backdrop for such a special
day.

With a couple who’s been inseparable since their first meeting, a gorgeous setting, an
even more gorgeous lace dress, and all the makings of a classic, romantic wedding.
The feeling of timeless classic is something that can be looked at now and in 30 years
time it will conjure up just the same emotions as when first viewed. You will immedi-
ately get that same feel from their wedding day picture. This is one of those few times
in your life when you can get your closest friends and family all in one place having a
good time together. There was no need for glitz or bright colors, just a timeless kind of
beauty to express their timeless love.

A charmingly beautiful and elegant wedding among the gorgeous and very rustic
environment in Montana. The couple chose Montana for their wedding since Lindsay
had so many fond memories from her childhood and growing up years since they
visited the Big Sky state each year. Because Lindsay’s father passed away when she
was in high school, it was extremely important to them to find ways to incorporate
him and his memory into their wedding. The very idea of having their wedding in a
place he loved so much made her feel like he would be that much closer to her on her
wedding day. The Resort at Paws Up in Greenough, Montana allowed them to have all
wedding festivities on site and for all their guests to stay on property — exactly what
they wanted for a fun-filled weekend where guests could mingle, party, and enjoy the
gorgeous scenery at their leisure! Their goal was to keep the rustic feel while bringing
in a sense of elegance to the day.

Vanessa Scott - Hair StylistVanessa Scott is a Master Hair Designer at JcPenney Salon.
She attended Huron Valley Beauty Academy where she
learned the tools needed to start her career as a Cosme-
tologist. During her time at HVBA she participated in the
Skills USA competition two years in a row. The first year
she placed second in the mannequin competition and the
second year she placed third in the live model competi-
tion. Being in the competition helped her to get a job for
JcPenney Salon.
In March of 2000 she started work as a Hair Designer at JcPenney Salon. Since work-
ing at JcPenney she has earned the title of Master Hair Designer, where she was also
a Paul Mitchell in Salon trainer. Being a Paul Mitchell in Salon Trainer helped Vanessa
to teach others new techniques for hair cutting and styling. Vanessa was also a Team
Leader, which allowed her to help fellow co-workers with problems in the salon as well
as look over stylist’s duties. For the last few years she has helped judge the Skills USA
competition for beauty school students that she once took part in.
Through her experience at JcPenney she was able to become a skilled colorist and is
able to work on different types of hair and clients. She is skilled at Hair Extensions and
has a growing clientele for that service as well as others. Vanessa continues to work
for JcPenney building her clientele and doing work she enjoys on a daily basis.
