Re: Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Event - Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy workshop

We would like to invite you to an informal evening at school which aims to inform you how you can best support your son/ward with the development of his literacy and numeracy skills. These skills are vital to students’ achievements across the curriculum and we believe that it is important to build solid foundations in these areas in Year 7. The event will take place in the school library at 7.15pm on Tuesday 3rd March. The evening will be made up of a 30-minute workshop on literacy, followed by a 30-minute workshop on numeracy. There will be opportunities to talk to other parents/carers, as well as experiencing some of the activities that your son/ward will encounter in lessons. You are invited to bring your son/ward with you to the event if you wish. The PTA will provide light refreshments at the end of the evening. We anticipate the event finishing at 8.30pm. We do hope that you will be able to attend this evening as we are sure you will find it very useful.
