Job Advertisement: Senior Executive Officer Organisation: MyShelter Foundation Programme/Office: Liter of Light Liter of Light is a fun social enterprise creating young changemakers around the world who with our help are empowering the energy poor. We are a Philippine organisation leading the way for the emerging world, from the emerging world by proliferating the use of solar power with our innovative open source technology. With 15 chapters around the world, and that number growing, we are looking for a creative, innovative, efficient and passionate director and leader for our global headquarters here in Manila. The tasks involved in doing this role are by the very nature of the role varied. They range from drafting communications/minutes/action points to writing briefing documents to leading key projects on behalf of the Executive Director (new business opportunities, market research, future innovation ideas etc) to being a spokesperson for the organisation in the Philippines. Leading the country office’s day-to-day operations to ensure it achieves its strategic goals at the highest operational standards, the individual will play a vital role in positioning Liter of Light as a trusted and globally recognized source of credible, accessible, scientifically sound community-built solar lights. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with at least ten years of executive experience who can build the strategy and organizational capacity to effectively spur innovation and deliver on our mission to light up one million homes by 2017. Position requirements: Knowledge and experience of strategic and operational management, programme development and marketing with global scope. Strong project and change management experience will required; Extensive experience of financial planning and forecasting, budgeting, management and as well as experience and understanding of the social sector including working knowledge of charity and governance laws and best practice; Experience of successful programme and/or brand launch and management in a global market; Analytical, influencing and negotiation skills gained from experience working at a senior management level including management of volunteer teams and donor relations; Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentational) and willingness to act as a spokesperson of the programme; Pragmatic in approach and comfortable “rolling up their sleeves" to get the job done; Innovative mindset and ability to find effective solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; Ability to coordinate and act independently and remotely in concert with our global movement; Highly organised and with an ability to juggle multiple priorities;

• Possession of a network of contacts, including private and public sector donors; marketing, PR, branding and design specialists; and technology and clean energy experts is an excellent asset;
