1. Listen and follow at least 3 instruction from 4 instruction given by the teacher in the classroom.

2. Respond appropriately to the teachers instruction in formal and informal situations for a variety of purposes.

Pupils know what are needed by plants to live and grow.

1. Teacher introduce the topic that will be learn.2. Teacher flash a poster (Appendix A) by using projector.3. Teacher ask the pupils questions related to the poster displayed. To arouse the pupils interest.

To start a discussion in order to make the pupils talk about the stimulus provided.Teaching aid:

Plant for the Planet poster.

Presentation(15 mins.)

Steps of growing a plant:

1. First, put some soil in the flowerpot.2. Next, make a hole in the soil.3. Then, put some seeds in the hole and cover them with some soil.4. Finally, water the seeds.

1. The teacher starts a discussion regarding on how to grow a plant and what are needed to grow it.2. The teacher use I-Think map to show the steps with pictures on how to grow a plant.

Introduce the usage of the flow map indirectly in the lesson.

To make the pupils listen and learn how to grow a plant.Teaching aids:

I-Think map: Flow map (For sequencing and order)

Steps of growing a plant with pictures

Example of materials to grow a plant: Flowerpot Seeds Water Soil

Sample of teachers instructions:

I want your group to buy a bag of seeds. I want you to buy a bag of soil. I want you to buy a flowerpot. I want you to buy a bottle of water

1. Teacher divides the pupils into 4 groups.2. Teacher give explanation about the activity.3. Each group will represent a shop that sell material to grow a plant.4. The pupils are provided with an instruction note (Appendix B) to guide them when buying and selling the materials.5. Each group will listen to the teachers instructions on what they have to buy.6. To buy or sell the material, all pupils in the group have to read the instruction note together.

Other than sun, what is needed by a plant to grow? What is the first step to grow a plant? What is the second step to grow a plant?1. Pupils will sits in their respective group.2. Teacher starts a quiz by asking questions related to the topic.
