Folia subpedalia 12-15 lin. lata. Racemus simpiex laxus, floribus subsessilibus infundibuliformibus 2 lin. longis, segmentis basi brevis- sime coalitis.

Differs from var. sepiaria of the Fiji Islands in its smaller leaves, simple subspicate raceme, and shorter funnel-shaped perianth. (ex c. B.)
