As the international Yoga day was initiated by prime minister of India, it was organized in the

college campus on 21/06/2017. Students were trained with different yogaashanas and also

mentored by the resource person, Sri. Gedala. Chandrasekhar. And also he emphasized the

importance of Yoga and practice to keep our health in a good manner.

The main objective of this programme is to make every student to be a part of the

Independence Day celebrations, so that they get accustomed to celebrate national festivals like

Independence Day & Republic Day as a part of national integrity. Plants are being planted by our

Honorable Secretary to make the campus green. Different competitions have been conducted and

prizes have been distributed on this great auspicious occasion.

development of India. It was introduced by the Govt of India and inaugurated by Indian Prime

Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.

As it is our responsibility to save our rivers, we must do something. We had a campaign in

about NSS participation. The certificates had been distributed for those who participated in NSS

Special camp.

Since the invitation from the police Tekkali was received on the occasion of Police

Commemoration Day, 80 students had participated and donated blood. The chief guest of the

programme made his speech the valuable services of the police given to the society and sacrifices.

He also appreciated the students of AITAM for their generosity.

Activity name : Awareness on Cash Free Transactions

Brief report:

An awareness programme was organized in the surroundings villages of K.Kotturu, Chakipalli and

Santhabommali to make the people aware cash free transactions.

A demonstration had been taken place to make cash less transactions with the following items

i) how to utilize swiping machines in shops

ii) how to use online banking

iii) how to do online shopping

iv) how to use mobile banking

v) What are the advantages of this cash free transaction concept.

vi) Various government policies introduced about this concept.

After demonstrating, many doubts and queries had been cleared by the students. The people of the

villages felt very happy introducing cash-less transactions. AITAM NSS Unit gave its support a

lot to conducting this programme in these villages.

After completion of this event, on 26-11-2016 local authorities like Tahsildar, MPDO, local

Village Secretaries and Bank authorities visited our college and some other information about

Cash-less transaction was given to the students. And also emphasized the students make more

aware of the people regarding Cash-less transactions.

The NSS Volunteers were approached by a friend of, Mr. Teki. Rajesh who was a kidney

failure patient from Mandakuriti Village Santhakaviti Mandal for financial help. Soon after got the

news, the amount of 10,000/- had been collected by the NSS Volunteers and given to the patient

for his hospitalization.
