28th June: Fun 'n' Frolic Day

13th July: House Visits (Own Transport)

15th-18th July: RACE - Recognise... Appreciate Colours and Enjoy...

My school is all about Smiling and Shining...

It will be heartening to listen to the clamour in the school once again. Children will be welcomed by cartoon characters and will be given balloons and chocolates. They should come to school in complete School Uniform. Teachers will make children comfortable with music, dance, play and other activities. Since it is the first day of school, children can be picked early by the parents (if Own Transport is opted for).

We take our Fun seriously...

‘Fun 'n' Frolic Day' will be held in the school campus for the entertainment of children so that they are comfortable and develop fondness to come to school. They can come in colour dress. They need not carry books. Only a water bottle, napkin, lunch box and the Diary should be sent with them. Their favourite cartoon characters will be dancing with them on this day and teachers will entertain children by organizing various games. They will be encouraged to share lunch with their classmates.

Parent + Teacher = Happy Child

At Slate, we understand that mere teaching in the class is not the end of teaching, but observing and understanding children in their personal space (i.e., home) goes a long way into moulding them better.

! It is a convention at Slate that every year we visit the homes of the students.

! This helps us understand the child better in his/her home environment.

! Details pertaining to the approximate time of the visit and any other will be intimated through the Student's Diary.

Filling our palette called The World...

Colours make the world beautiful. We will bring the rainbow down, in the school premises by celebrating the 'RACE'. During this week, please dress your ward in the specific colour given for that particular day. Children can get articles / things of that particular colour. For ex: on Red Day, children may get an apple, a tomato, strawberries, etc. The other articles and objects of that colour will be shown to children by teachers. This will reinforce the concept of colours in them. There are other activities planned to help children be perfect with the concept of colours. For the first four days, activities which will help children identify colors will be conducted in the school itself. On the final day of RACE, children will be taken to 'Sanjeevaiah Park', for their first Field Trip. On the field trip day too, different activities are conducted for children to enable them to recognise, appreciate and enjoy the world of colours.
