Experienced in operational services, organisation of teams. Manages performance data well. Strategic in her thinking. Got Julie on board because Ofsted report wasn’t going to be good, and brought on to drive the improvement in the adoption area. She is a good communicator and understands how to bring about improvement in services. What could they have done better [development areas] Not really, I have been very impressed with her! 1

Leadership/Management skills?She has developed a very good sense of leadership. Good communication skills, brings people with her. She has been someone that has be given staff security.

all levels of the council.

Financial management skills?Good! Clearly experienced, working within a difficult climate.

Honesty and integrity?Very honest. No reason to doubt anything here. Always there when you need her and beyond.

Dependability and reliability?Very reliable, able to bring to my attention things missed and things of high importance.

Did the assignment end as planned?Yes, I would have liked her to stay but I always knew she was here for a year, and the distance that she has been travelling is way too far.

Would you employ them as an interim manager again and if so in what capacity.Definitely employ again at Head of Service level.

Do you have any other thoughts or observations about the interim manager which you think would be useful for us to know or that may help us in our search for a suitable role for them? First interim assignment, she brings a permanent mind set! Shows change and transformations skills.
