LIQUID BULK TRANSPORT

Competitive rates based on one way use, any destination in your reach and a capacity up to 24,000 litres. These are just a few of the many advantages of flexitanks. Van den Bosch has expanded its logistic services with flexitanks. In combination with ISO tanks, we now offer you a complete solution for the shipment of your liquid bulk products.

FLEXITANKS

DISCOVER THE MANY ADVANTAGES OF FLEXITANKSShipping liquid bulk products in flexitanks has grown into a popular transport mode. More and more companies choose to make use of this flexible, affordable and efficient transport solution. In addition to ISO tanks, Van den Bosch now also offers you flexitanks. From strategic locations in Europe and Africa, we ship your liquid bulk products to destinations worldwide.

Food & chemicals (non IMO)Van den Bosch ships your liquid bulk products safely and efficiently in flexitanks. Flexitanks are suited for the transport of both your liquid food products and your liquid chemicals (non IMO). Popular export products such as oil, wine, latex and glycerine are already often transported in flexitanks.

Expand your horizon

The advantages of flexitanksBy making use of flexitanks, you will benefit from competitive rates based on one way use. Moreover, with a capacity up to 24,000 litres, you optimize your payload considerably compared to IBCs and drums. Flexitanks are only used once, so the contamination risk is eliminated. It is also a sustainable way of transport, because flexitanks are fully recyclable.

‘POPULAR EXPORT PRODUCTS SUCH AS OIL, WINE, LATEX

& GLYCERINE ARE OFTEN TRANSPORTED IN

FLEXITANKS’

FLEXITANKS VERSUS ISO TANKS, DRUMS & IBCS

Flexitank features• Capacity: 16,000 – 24,000 litres (depending on the product density).

• For single use only.

• No risk of contamination.

• Made of high quality material.

• 100% recyclable.

Advantages compared to drums/IBCs• Your payload increases up to 24,000 litres. By comparison: a 20 FT container will hold about 80 drums (16,000 litres) and 20 IBCs (20,000 litres).

• Lower purchasing costs and less storage costs.

• Less logistic handling and lower labour costs.

• No cleaning costs.

Worldwide, liquid bulk products are shipped in drums and IBCs. However, more and more companies in the food and chemical industry choose bulk transport solutions and make use of ISO tanks or flexitanks. What are the advantages of flexitanks? We have listed them for you below.

Advantages compared to ISO tanks• Flexitanks are available worldwide and can be deployed at low positioning costs.

• Competitive rates based on one way use.

‘FROM STRATEGIC LOCATIONS IN EUROPE AND

AFRICA, ANY DESTINATION IN THE WORLD IS AVAILABLE’

THE FLEXITANK JOURNEY How does transport by flexitank work? And which steps are taken to assure the quality and safety of your product? Let us follow the journey of the flexitank.

From installation to quality assurance

1. Your requestVan den Bosch looks for the most favourable bulk

transport solution based on the required loading and

unloading location and the product to be transported.

A flexitank is suited for liquid food as well as chemicals

(non IMO). Based on the MSDS, which contains the

technical specifications of your product, we will

select the right type of flexitank.

2. The selection of the containerThe 20FT container in which the flexitank is

installed must meet various criteria, e.g. the

container must be free of damage, clean,

dry and free of odours. The floor and

walls must be in good condition as well.

3. The installationAfter cleaning and inspection, the flexitank is installed in the

container. This happens in a fitting depot. Van den Bosch only

works with trained partners. They work according to a checklist

to check if all steps have been performed correctly.

‘THANKS TO STRICT REQUIREMENTS, YOU CAN BE SURE THAT THE QUALITY

AND SAFETY OF YOUR PRODUCT ARE GUARANTEED’

4. Loading The loading hose is connected to the outlet and the

product is loaded. A flexitank has a capacity of 16,000

– 24,000 litres. The loading hose is supported during

loading, so it remains in the right (horizontal) position.

5. Preparing for transportThe hose is disconnected and the outlet is closed.

Then the container doors are closed and a

seal is affixed to the right door, through the

Door Locking Handle. This tamper evident

seal ensures the container to remain closed

during transport.

6. Transport The container is transported from the loading location to the

port and then shipped to the required destination. Besides

port-to-port delivery, we can also offer you door-to-door

delivery, in cooperation with our partner network.

7. UnloadingUpon arrival at the unloading address, the product

is pumped from the flexitank to the storage tank

of the receiver. Subsequently, in compliance to

local regulations, the flexitank is offered for waste

processing.

8. Your quality guaranteeThanks to the strict requirements for the

flexitanks, containers and partners we work

with, you can be sure that the quality and

safety of your product are guaranteed.

Include the cost savings and you will

realize that you will make the choice for

an attractive transport solution.
