She is an Arline and Pete Harman Faculty Scholar. Pregnancy results in dramatic physiologic changes over a short period of time particularly related to the cardiovascular system. Endothelial dysfunction is a key feature of the obstetric complication of preeclampsia. Women who conceive with assisted reproduction technology are at higher risk of preeclampsia but the mechanisms for this risk are not fully understood. Drs. Winn and von Versen-Hoynck will share results from their Pregnancy Outcomes Following Infertility Endothelial Health (POFI-ECH) study which is exploring this question.
