Highlights: This investigation studies the dry sliding wear behaviour of Mg matrix composites
reinforced with Titanium carbide (TiC) and molybdenum disulphide (MoS2)
particulate up to 10%, were fabricated through powder metallurgy technique.
The Hardness and wear resistance of the developed composites improves significantly
as compared to that of the magnesium matrix due to the courteous effect offered by
both the reinforcements.
The wear loss and friction coefficient of the Mg-TiC composites was abridged by the
accumulation of MoS2.
