"The entity designated by a symbolic unit (word) can...be thought of as a point of access to a network. The semantic value of a symbolic unit is given by the openended set of relations . . . in which this access node participates.
Each of these relations is a cognitive routine, and because they share at least one component the activation of one routine facilitates (but does not always necessitate) the activation of another."

Language is a part of Cognitive Network
The epistemological implication of the embodied cognition is that people understand other’s emo-tion by simulating one’s own comparable apprais-al process of activating affective state. Possible mechanism is described by the mirror neuron hy-pothesis.
(Rizzolatti & Sinigaglia 2008)
The intersubjective linguistic communication of emotions involves activation of the comparable embodied affective states via cognitive process of conceptualization that can be coded in symbol-ic constructions - language. (Perak 2014)
The componential theories assume an emotion to be conceptualized as a multidimensional process consisting of several components such as bodily changes, expressive behavior, action tendencies, appraisal, and feeling state that occur as a re-sponse to the specific events in the environment with the aim of quickly preparing the organism for optimal reaction.

Grammatical categories like noun (N), verb (V), adjec-tive (ADJ), prepositions (PREP) and their constructions are derived from the schematization (ENTITY, PROP-ERTY and PROCESS) of cognitive processes involved in the conceptualization, construal and mental simulation of the perceived reality.

Interpretation
Aim of the study
I) The connected nodes represent the cognitive rou-tines of meaning production while the the edges rep-resent metaphoric/metonymic relations. (The meta-phors are not labeled in this visualization).II) The proximity of the nodes indicates the frequen-cy (and possible cognitive entrenchement).III) Formal structure of linguistic conceptualization (syntactic constructions) adds novel information and enriches the knowledge on the emotion categories. Each layer/construction pattern forms a special con-ceptual and pragmatic inferential structure.IV) Distinctive connections indicate the conceptaual (and neural) basis for the difference in the conceptu-alization of meaning for these 4 emotional categories.
Using the Cognitive linguistics theory, data in the large Corpus of En-glish language and Multilayered Networks theory:
I) analyze 4 emotion lexemes: 1) fear, 2) anger, 3) shame, 4) jealousy:II) classify linguistic constructions according to their cognitive hier-archy and indicate their function in the process of construal of meaning.III) visualise constructions patterns for 4 emotion words as a direct-ed Network with the aim to represent property of frequence / cognitive entrenchement as a proximity feature between source and target nodes.
MethodologyI) Identify occurences of 4 emotion lexemes: fear, anger, shame, jealousy
in the Corpus of English: enTenTen [2012], (12,968,375,937 Tokens) on the.sketchengine.co.uk
II) For each emotion lexeme (EMOTION) extract 50 most frequent constructions, classified according to the emergent constructional model of conceptualization:

Usage based theory of language acqusition introduces corpus of spoken/written languge as a methodological tool for the research of culturally established cognitive patterns of conceptualization.

Corpus methodology can be used: - qualitative research (coocurence/metaphor patterns)- quantiative research (frequencies)- in complementing psychologica componentional ap-proaches (GRID)
1) ontological [EMOTION BE], [HAVE EMOTION]2) structural [EMOTION BE N], [ADJ EMOTION]3) spatial [EMOTION PREP] [PREP EMOTION]4) processual thematic [V EMOTION]5) processual agentive [EMOTION V]III) lemmatize words in syntactical constructions and convert the data into directional network model where each source word/node represents a concept in a conceptual/cognitive relation to the target word/node.IV) visualise networks using Force Layout algorythm.
