Frascati http://wikitravel.org/en/Frascati 30 minute train from Roma termini

train station. Home of Frascati wine. Great interlude looking over Rome. Seems like you are in Tuscany.

I suggest Pane e Tulipani for great wine and appetizer food in the center. 5 minutes up the stairs from the train station between Piazza Roma and Piazza San Pietro on the left alley way

Il Tettuccio 15 minute walk to the back part of town past Piazza San Pietro but best Mom & Pop trattoria and best food in town. No english here so just say, “Porta quello che avresti tu.” Inexpensive as well.

Italy Travel-Bottom Line Don’t rush it. Do small towns when possible Get lost When in doubt… get lost

again, drink, eat, and people watch.

Dine in the back streets. That’s where the best food is.

You may just meet some new friends & see unexpected places
