Refund PoliciesSatisfaction GuaranteeThe Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department is committedto providing high quality recreation programs and services. Wewant everyone to be satisfied with their recreational experiences.If you are not completely satisfied with a program or service, youhave the following options:

1) Repeat the program at no charge2) Receive credit that can be applied to another program3) Receive a full refund

Our guarantee is based on fulfilling our promise of deliveringthe published expectations describing the particular programyou registered for. If you are not satisfied, we kindly askthat you complete a refund request form (available atwww.recreation.lwd.org and in the Parks and RecreationDepartment office). This policy does not apply to Proesel ParkFamily Aquatic Center memberships or contractually providedprograms.

General RefundsGeneral refunds will be granted when requested five full workingdays before the start of a program. All refunds are subject to a10% administrative fee and will bemailed in the form of a checkwithin 4-6 weeks of your request. Charges cannot be reversed oncredit cards.

Medical/RelocationWe do understand theremay be times when illness, emergenciesand relocation force you to discontinue participation in a program.Should this occur, we ask that you submit proof of relocation or awrittenmedical explanation from a physician.

Department CancellationIn the event a program does not reachminimum enrollment, theclass may be cancelled with full refunds issued. The administrativefee does not apply in these instances.

Rentals, Birthday Parties, Athletic & Picnic PermitsIf a rental is cancelled three weeks before the scheduled date,a full refund less a 10% administrative fee is issued. If a rental iscanceled 20 days or less before the scheduled date, a 50% refundless a 10% administrative fee will be issued.

Lincolnwood Social ClubRefunds will be granted on a case-by-case basis. If a refund isgranted, it will be subject to a 10% administrative fee and will alsoreflect any charges already incurred by theVillage (e.g., the ticketprice, the cost of food, etc. ) If granted a refund, it will be receivedin the form of a check (4-6 week processing time) or a credit to beused toward a future program.

Registration DeadlinesRegister for classes early! All of our classes haveminimumsandmaximums. Please sign up twoweeks prior to the start ofa program to avoid cancellations.

Volunteer OpportunitiesServe your community with your time and talents! The Lincolnwood Parks and RecreationDepartment relies onmany different kinds of volunteers throughout the year tomake itsprograms and special events successful.

We are always looking for special event helpers for Family Fun Fest, Turkey Trot andPumpkins in Proesel Park Halloween Event.

Does gardening/flower care, or park clean-up pique your interest? If so, we could useyour help! For more information, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at(847) 677-9740.

Park WatchWe need your help keeping Lincolnwood’s parks clean, safe, and free of vandalism. If you find any broken equipment or have other safetyconcerns about the parks, please contact the Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department at (847) 677-9740. If you see vandalismoccurring in the parks, please contact the Lincolnwood Police by calling 911. The Parks and Recreation Department is committed toproviding a safe place for recreation and would prefer to enhance the quality of the parks rather than replace vandalized equipment.

Planning an event? We have the perfect venue!

The rates are for rentals scheduled during general hours ofoperation. During holidays, rental fees increase and rental hoursare subject to change. Call for discounted weekday rates availableMonday-Thursday, 9am-5pm.

The Lincolnwood Community Center is the perfect venue for your next party. The facility is ideal for meetings, family parties, birthdays,showers, and any other type of social gathering.

The Community Center features two indoor spaces. Choose from our large room, which provides a light, airy space that can accommodateup to 200 guests; or our small room, which provides a warm, intimate setting for up to 40. Both rooms feature hardwood floors perfect fordancing or socializing. For an additional fee, your guests will be able to enjoy our outdoor patio, complete with wrought iron patio tablesand umbrellas, which can seat 16 and accommodate up to 35 guests.

How will the proceeds be used?Money from the sale of Promenade bricks will be used for park improvements.

How much does an engraved brick cost?$75 includes the cost of the brick, engraving and installation; $50 for a duplicate brick for you to keep.

Each brick is 4”x 8”and holds up to three lines of text with 13 characters per line. Aminimum number of bricks must be soldbefore an installation is scheduled.

Trees and benchesmay be installed in the neighborhood parks listed below.TheVillage Arborist will assist in the selection and determine the planting locationwithin the parkdesired for the species chosen.

• Trees are available for planting in the following parks: Central, Flowers, O’Brien,Centennial, Goebelt, Rossi, Columbia, Kenneth, G.G. Rowell, Drake, Kildare andSpringfield.
