Overview of the Developer Cloud

● Non-Federated OpenStack Cloud operating in 3 different geographical locations.

● Fully Arm64 based deployment○ Control plane, networking and compute.

● 31 hypervisors, totalizing 346 VCPUs and 2.6 TB of memory.

○ This capacity is doubling with the addition of new hypervisors to the existing clouds and a upgraded UK cloud.

● Open-source projects using the infrastructure ○ OpenStack-CI, MongoDB, Linaro build systems.

● Two operational clouds deployed with this reference● OpenStack Newton based, package installed (ERP 16.12/17.08)● Non-HA at the control plane● Swift object-storage not supported● No monitoring solution integrated● No upgrade or fast forward possible

● Add monitoring to improve debugging ○ Early detection of bugs and performance bottlenecks to provide feedback

to upstream and members.

● Enable rolling upgrades of containers to allow fixes to land faster

● Do you provide virtual machines? ○ No, we provide credentials to access the OpenStack API/Dashboard with

a certain amount of quotas (vCPUs, RAM, HD)○

● Do you have a list of known limitations?○ Console wasn’t functional until Q release○ Migrations might not work [WIP]○ Object store wasn’t enabled
