While people around the country are shoveling their way from the front door to the car door, Housto-nians are perfecting their golf game, walking through a Winter Wonderland of lights at the Houston Zoo or

taking in an outdoor movie on the lawn of Discovery Green . . . in shorts. A-a-a-and you just spilled hot cider down the front of your winter parka out of utter shock (and a smidgen of jealousy). It’s crazy, I know.

In fact, Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport records, on average, a mere 9.6 days per year of freez-ing temps.
