H ere at heat, we LOVE Lily Allen – but it seems that, after a week of being on

what seems like every TV show, at every party and on every radio station, her comeback is not going quite as planned.

After appearing on The Graham Norton Show with Lily, Mamma Mia! actor Dominic Cooper described the experience as “uncomfortable”. He told heat, “I felt like the awkward man between Lily and Miriam [Margoyles, Harry Potter actress]. “That’s why I started talking about [my] bits falling out. I didn’t know what to do.”

For anyone who didn’t see it, Lily, 28, started by making fun of the way Miriam, 72, said “period”. Then, the singer mocked Miriam’s voice. Lily couldn’t resist another pop when the actress talked about her charity work. An unimpressed Miriam replied, “Don’t interrupt, darling.” The jibes continued when Miriam told Lily she was “bitchy” during a game.

The backlash on Twitter hasn’t been pretty: someone in the audience later tweeted, “Just signed a release form after making a tool of myself on Graham Norton! #idiot Lily Allen is a horrible person!!!”

A Twitter follower added,“Lily Allen on Graham Norton pure bitch.” Another said, “I want to like Lily Allen but I’m watching Graham Norton on repeat and she’s acting like a t**t.” Another

tweet read, “Lily Allen is an attention-seeking, rudely behaved girl.”

To add to her woes, Lily has received a barrage of tweets asking where her children are [she has two daughters – Ethel, two, and 13-month-old Marnie]. She fought back, tweeting, “I’m getting a lot of nasty messages in my feed about my children. Thank you for your concern, but I assure you they are fi ne and are never far away, you just don’t see them in pictures because I don’t tote them around like accessories.”

A source close to Lily tells us, “Lily’s behaviour is a classic case of fear of rejection – she’s so worried that, after all this time away, her comeback will be a disaster.”
