Options

The PMD is a pedestrian guide gate with pivoting and bidirectional panels. It is suitable for access control in public areas, offices, shops and leisure centres. It may be used as a PRM gate (for persons with reduced mobility), in combination with tripod turnstiles.

Opening in the direction of passage is actuated by the reception of an authorization signal. Closure oc-curs automatically upon the expiry of an adjustable time delay. If one of the panels encounters an obsta-cle, the panel will stop for 3 seconds before resuming its motion (overtorque detection). The gate may be controlled remotely by a receptionist or security guard, or connected to a reader (badge or biometric reader), or provided with a presence detector in the form of an infrared sensor fitted to the device (optional feature).

In case of a power cut or fire alarm, or by the action of the remote control system, the gate will be un-locked and may be opened simply by pushing (anti-panic system).
