Padtec’s multi-service DWDM transport platform, LightPad i6400G, is an integrated solution providing up to 20 Tbps of bandwidth in a single pair of fibers for distances of up to thousands of kilometers, assuring bandwidth scalability without service interruption.

Padtec’s DWDM solution meets the point-to-point, ring and mesh network requirements with excellence. It was developed on a customized and integrated platform, suitable for different applications through common modules that result in the reduction of costs and spare parts.

Constructed according to the latest DWDM standards, Padtec’s solution incorporates optical channels at 100 Gbps and OTN Switch units. It enables the addition of capacity to the system and provides the digital granularity required by the new services.

LightPad i6400G Platform implements adding, dropping and switching of any optical channel through Reconfigurable Optical Add and Drop Multiplexer (ROADM WSS). This is extremely useful in strategic network nodes and access environment.

The OTS models included in LightPad i6400G Platform provide OTN electric switching functionalities, optical grooming and cross-connection in the ODU level. Available in several form factors, the Padtec’s OTN Switches optimize the network operations and contribute for the OPEX reduction. Backbone and Metropolitan topologies may easily be provided through the management system, while also providing sustainable growth for the services matrix.

Line CardsLightPad i6400G Platform boasts a wide line cards portfolio, which make several protocols aggregation possible at line rates up to 100 Gbps. • Up to 200 DWDM optical channels with rates

from 2.5 Gbps to 100 Gbps, aggregating up to 20 Tbps in a single optical fiber pair.

The optical performance of long reach links is guaranteed by several features:• Low OSNR operation at signals reception,

enabled by coherent detection and DP-QPSK and DP-DQPSK modulations

• Extended optical channels tolerance against chromatic dispersion, BER and DGD.

Soft and Hard FEC, which increases the robustness against non-linear effects and signal degradation.

Multi-Span TransmissionThe amplifiers family available in LightPad i6400G Platform is composed of Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFA) and Raman high performance amplifiers, enabling the interconnection of points apart for thousands of miles without intermediate optical-electrical conversions.
