Letter from Fr. Jack regarding underclassmen portraits

OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS
Dear Parents,
At this time of year the underclassmen have their pictures taken for the school
yearbook. This is done professionally by the “Lifetouch” portrait studio (formerly
Carl Wolfe). All freshmen, sophomores and juniors are asked to get their picture
taken and it will appear at the end of the year in the school yearbook. This year the
yearbook will be published entirely “in color” so the individual pictures will be even
more prominent. Juniors will also have their picture taken in the spring for graduation.
This is a separate photo session. The pictures taken in the Fall appear in the yearbook
this spring.
Originally the portraits were to be taken this week but because of the storm and power
outage last week we are moving the sessions to next week (specifically Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday – November 12, 13 and 14).
On Tuesday, November 6 a flyer will be given to each student during homeroom. We
are asking each student to take this home and show his family. This describes the
various packages and options that are available for purchase.
The purchase of pictures is purely optional. Each student will have his picture taken
for the yearbook regardless of if he buys them. The flyer from Lifetouch is being
offered in case you want to purchase the pictures.
Please fill out the form and return with the enclosed payment in the attached envelope
on the day your son gets his picture taken.
Your son will be getting his picture taken during his English class sometime early next
week. I am currently in consultation with the department to determine the best day
for each class. Your son’s English teacher will let him know on which day he will be
photographed by the end of this week.
If you have any questions or concerns you can contact me at ext. 1113 or you can call
Lifetouch studios directly (the number is on the pamphlet that will be sent home).
Sincerely,
(Rev.) Jack Kolodziej, OSFS
Assistant Principal, Director of Activities
