BRIDES-LES-BAINS MASSAGE!*This dynamic therapeutic massage dissolves tension and tones muscles through sliding pressure and kneading. Its toning and relaxing effect stimulates blood circulation and the release of toxins. The treatment is personalized and suitable for back pain, circulation problems, muscle contraction, cramp and recovery from illness or injury.

AQUAFLORES!*This organic slimming treatment works right at the heart of fat cells, relieving congestion, breaking down fibrosis, revascularising, draining the lymph system and boosting metabolism. The therapist prepares an assessment to target the cold areas and uses the suction (or “bubble”) technique, creating a palpating and rolling motion by means of a vacuum, and it improves the blood flow too.

WEIGHT-LOSS AND WAIST-SIZE INDICATORS **

WAIST-SIZE INDICATOR:According to the data collected by the Thermes de Brides-les-Bains, guests who followed a 9-day cure reduced on average (male and female) their waist size by 3.2 cm. A third lost more than one clothing size (4 cm). This slimming effect can reach 14 cm.

Why is waist measurement a pertinent indicator?Waist size reveals the amount of abdominal fat. If this indicator is above 88 cm for women and 102 cm for men, the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes increases. Thus, it is of paramount importance to monitor and reduce it.

LOSS OF WEIGHT INDICATORWomen:• Average: 1.7 kg, that is to say 2!% of the initial weight• Weight loss range: 1 kg!–!7.3 kg

Men:• Average: 2.8 kg, that is to say 2.8!% of the initial weight• Weight loss range: 1 kg!–!8.2 kg

After 1 year, 64!% of the retreat participants continued to reduce their weight. Among them, the majority lost more than 5!% of their initial weight.

A loss of 5!% of the initial weight impacts positively on blood test results (glycaemia, triglyceride, cholesterol, etc.) and articular pains. From 2!% of weight loss, a reduction of arterial blood pressure is noticed, implying a decrease in cardiovascular risk.

Therefore, the Slimming Retreat has real health benefits, both during the treatment process and later as we will provide you with guidelines and techniques to continue the healthy lifestyle at home. The goal of the retreat is to kick-start the process. During the retreat, you will lose some weight; however, you will slim more, due to better food choices, which will reduce bloating, treatments which define shape and physical activity to strengthen and define your core muscles.
