HELLOSo you’re looking for a wedding photographer, huh? Alrighty. I’m Hannah. A tattooed adventurer with a passion for pretty pictures and all things lovely. I live on the moors at the northern edge of the Peak District and travel all over the country (and beyond) doing what I love: shooting weddings, telling stories of love & laughter, and eating cake. I’m absolutely thrilled that you’re considering me to play a wee part in your wedding. Thanks so much!

My approach to your wedding is that, well, it’s yours. As unique and wonderful as you are. And that’s how it should be in picture form too. When you look back, you’ll want to remember your wedding day exactly as it was. The people you shared it with, the details you poured your heart and soul into, the cheeky glint in your eyes when you first caught sight of one another, the nerves, the laughter, the tears... I aim to be as inobstrusive as possible so that I can document your day as it happens. More often than not, my couples say that they see me as (and their guests assume that I am) a friend. An extra pair of hands to help it all run smoothly, a warm smile of encouragement, a kick up the bum...whatever it takes, I’ll do everything I can to make sure the experience exceeds your expectations. And then I’ll hand you a bunch of beautiful visual memories to treasure forever. Because I care about the people I work with and I blummin’ LOVE weddings.

My standard package provices upto 12 hours cover (a couple of hours of bridal prep through to the red hott dance floor action) with the option to reduce to a shorter 8 hour package if you’re having a late ceremony.

You will receive all of your images as hi-res files on a custom USB stick edited in my signature style. I also generate a password protected web gallery that you can share with family and friends so that they can down-load copies of their favourite images and order prints.

Plus you’ll receive a gorgeous fine art wedding album designed by me.

I offer all of my couples the opportunity to come up to Yorkshire for a pre-wed shoot before their big day. Shoots further afield are also an option, but I ask you to cover my travel expenses. The pre-wed shoot is a great opportunity for us to hang out and get to know each other. I show you how I work and go through some tips to help you look your best naturally, you learn to relax in front of the cameras (I work with a couple) and see how fab you look in the results, and we all go away with a warm fuzzy feeling and hopefully a pint of beer or a lovely cup of tea in our belly.

Pre-wed shoots typically last 2 hours and take place weekdays (summer evenings for example) as weekends tend to be reserved for weddings. I provide you with digital copies of the images to keep after the shoot and offer a range of products such as framed prints, bespoke photo guest books and signing frames.

If there’s one thing about my job that never ceases to amaze me, it’s how exciting it is to see wedding photies in print for the first time. Digital files are great, yes. We can share them easily and back them up. But there’s just something truly magical about an actual printed photograph. It makes my heart tremble. Looking through wedding albums can easily take my breath away. It’s so much more nostalgiac leafing through those beautiful, carefully designed pages rather than simply browsing online. And a good album instantly becomes a family heirloom. That’s why I include fine art albums in my packages. I want my lovely couples to have something real, something tangible, something beautiful that they can hold in their hands, show to their families and pass on to their children.

Packages include 8” square fine art album with 40 pages as standard.

what happens next?If you’d like to see more of my work, have a look through my blog. All of my latest weddings are featured on there together with e-shoots and some personal posts to give you an insight into my little world. I can also send you a link to an online gallery showing some full weddings to give you an idea of the type of coverage you can expect. Just let me know if you’d like to have a nosey.

If that all sounds good to you... the next thing we should do is have a good old natter. It’s important to make sure that you click with the photographer you choose. You end up spending a heck of a lot of time with them on a very importatnt and often emotional day, so the last thing you want is someone who will annoy you. You need someone who will fit in at your wedding and be able to produce the sorts of photos that really mean something to you. If you guys want to check that I fit the bill, I’d be more than happy to give you a call or set up a skype chat.

And if things are all systems go... in order to reserve your date, I ask for a £500 booking fee. The balance is then due 4 weeks before the wedding date. If you’d like me to send over a copy of the booking form so that you can have a read through everything, just ask.

Finally, tell me as much about your day as you feel like sharing. I love weddings and I am passionate about the people I work with, so I like to get to know you and I never tire of the DIY projects, the successes and the traumas, and even the family politics. I love hearing all about your plans for the day and enjoy playing as big a part as I possibly can in helping things run smoothly not only on the day, but in the lead up to it too. If you have any questions for me, relating to weddings or otherwise, just shout. You can ask me anything.
