On seven huge double pages young children can discover what happens during a normal day at a farm; plus there’s a hot trail of naughty Benny Badger, the king of burglars. The children will not tire of following events and spinning out the tale. Early in the morning, the sun has just risen, cows have to be milked, chicken fed and eggs collected. In addition, the pig-sty must be mucked out, a huntsman comes by, the tractor breaks down, bunnies want to be fed ... On a farm, there are things to be done well into the night and the Mümmel kids enjoy themselves thoroughly in the countryside.

The artist Britta Teckentrup, born in Hamburg in 1969, studied art in London. After living in England for seventeen years, during which period she published countless successful picture books worldwide, she moved to Berlin where she now lives with her family.
