Baby's intake:

In the accounting year April- 2017 to March – 2018, 13 males and 19 females, totally 32 new babies were admitted in Life Line Trust Babies Home. We had received 8 babies (05- female, Male- 03) from Cradle Baby Reception Centre. From that, we had taken 1male baby from Ariyalur CBS, 2 female babies from CBS, Dharmapuri, 2 male babies and 3 female babies received from CBS, Tiruvannamalai, 5 male and 3 female babies

received from SOC SEAD Agency, Trichy and5 male, 11 female babies were directly received by Life Line Trust, Salem.

Foster Care

In the accounting year April – 2017 to March 2018, 5 male and 17 female babies were given under foster care to In-Country and Inter-Country prospective adoptive parents. All felt happy and pleasure in bringing up their babies.

Legalization:-

Legal, 28 cases of adopted babies got legalized. These cases had completed in District Court Salem. He shown more concern on our adopted babies and conducted legal process in an easy and speedy manner.

Re-Integration:

In the accounting year April – 2017 to March 2018, 2 male and 2 female babies were reintegrated with their biological parent. All felt happy and pleasure in bringing up their babies

Child Murugeshhad reintegrated with his biological parent on 25.04.2017

Transfer:

In the accounting year April – 2017 to March 2018, 1 male baby transferred to Arivagam, Mayiladuthurai, 1 male and 1 female babies were transferred to CWC, Namakkal for better rehabilitation.

Judge Visit:

Honorable Mr.Mohandass, Principal District Judge, Salem visited babies home on

08.07.2017.He felt satisfied of the care given to the babies by Life Line Trust and appreciated the

staffs.

Training given for Cuddalore and Dharmapuri Adoption Agency:

As ordered by State Adoption Resource Authority, Chennai, we trained new adoption agencies

from Cuddalore and Dharmapuri. Training had given on adoption procedures, adoption

guidelines -2017, CARINGS, uploading Babies details, Home study report, follow up report,

explained files, adoption stakeholders-, CWC, DCPU and Probation Officer's roles, registers

maintenance and Babies care & home maintenance. They acquired knowledge on adoption,

exposure on Babies home and experienced on CARINGS portal and shown more interest lo learn

about adoption.Given training to Bless Adoption Centre, Cuddalore on 05.03.2018 and

06.03.2018 and to Nirmala Adoption Centre, Dharmapuri on 12.03.2018 and 13.03.2018.

2. Binda Children Home for Girls

(Home for rescued victimized girl children)

Binda Children’s home for girl children – Home for rescued victimized girl children from Trafficking and

child labour. Binda home is started from July - 2007 and at present functioning in 16, Shanthinagar,

Chinnatirupathi, Salem. There are 54 children are at present in Binda home and taking care of their

education & also their holistic development. Binda children home received 94 children and reintegrated

40 children with their parent.

Education Status: -

Binda home children preparing for their annual exams. All children are going to school

regularly.10thstandard, 11th Standard and 12th standard students are writing their public

examination and getting additional tuitions to get good marks. Children are good in yoga,

sillambam and Karate.

Kids are enjoying their fun time

New Admission and Reintegration:

Child Harish was received from child line, Salem due to his father drunk alcohol on the road side with the child. So the child line staff rescued the child admitted in Toddlers Home on - 13.01.2018.

Child Harish happily reintegrated with his biological parent on 18.01.2018.

Transfer to other Home: 4 children

Children Varsha, Iniya and Kaviarasu are siblings. Due to severe quarrel between the father and mother, the children came to streets. Public informed to CWC, Salem. Then, the children came to Child Welfare Committee, Salem on 28.08.2017. Then, their mother had gone to her parent’s house. Then the children were Transferred to MDM Thaleer Children Home, Idappadi on 16.09.2017. Now they are getting good care and protection

Child NithyaShree received from Child Welfare Committee, Salem on 10.10.2017. She is mentally retarded child. Biological mother was surrendered the child for better rehabilitation. She was Transferred to Arivagam Children Home (home for special needs) Mayiladuthurai on 24.10.2017.

On 15.09.2017. Mr.Narasimhulu, Secretary of Life Line Trust participated in Life Line Trust and wishes the child

Doctor Visit:

Dr. Anureka conducted medical investigation for Toddlers Home Kids on 23.11.2017. Doctor most of the kids are in good health except one child. She received as very malnourished and she is becoming better. Doctor had given vitamin tablets to all the kids and planned to do medical check up every month.

Life Line Trust, Reception home for Girls, Salem was established in April-2009 in partnership with the Department of Social Defense of the Government of Tamilnadu. It is situated at present in 50/2, Ram nagar, Kumarasamypatti, Salem -636008.

Children. MDM-Thaleer children home inaugurated on 12.12.2012 at No. 75B Tamil Nadu Housing

present, we have 25 children (Boys-8 and Girls-17) in our MDM-Thaleer children home.

General information:This month, 12th standard board exam started in 01.03.2018 and ourThaleer home

child Renugais attending her public exam. On 07.03.2018, 11th standard board exam started and our

home child Suganthi is writing her annual exam. They prepared good for the exam. Other children are

preparing for their annual exam now itself, attending special classes and clarifying their doubts.

Children weekly meeting:

Children meeting conducted every Saturday. In that meeting, we discussed with children needs and issues

with Project Director Mrs.K.Kalpana. Children shared their views and solved small issues by friendly

way by her and given motivation for education too.

Child Punithavalli and Dhanush are taking Regular ART tablets and going regular checkup in hospital.

Then, child Hemalatha, Devi sri, Renuga, Thayaraman, Raju got fever. After taken medical treatment,

they got well. Other children health was good.

Staff Training Meeting:-

Project Directors Mr.ArulMurugan, and Mrs. Kalpana, they shared the

informationon 24.03.2018 about Quality improvement vision 2018-2019.

Mr.ArulMurugan given briefing about the sponsor cards to be filled by

the children.

Dental camp:

General Dental camp conducted on 11.03.2018 in Eswari Dental Hospital

Edappadi. Only, Childsandhiya is having teeth pain. Then, doctor had given

tablets. Some of them received special paste and mouth wash for their regular

dental care.

Extra- curricular Activities:-

Weekly two days Silambam, Karatey, Yoga session were conducted for Thaleer

children by the masters.Thaleer children in their free time, they practiced pyramid and boxing with the

help of their master.

Outing:

Thaleer children and staff went outing for Boating in Poolampatti River on 29.03.2018. Children enjoyed

a lot and felt more happiness with new experience in Boat ride on the river.

Children are eating ice cream with their friends in Outing.

STEP ACT Children meeting Details

In 13/01/2018 conducted in Step ACT children meeting.

1.No drop outs in our project children and also ourvillages.

2.If know about child marriage in their villages immediately call us.

3.If any problem or anything needed immediately tell us.These kinds of points were discussed by our children.

Completion of Annual Examination

Last Year 4 members wrote 12th examination. They are all pass in the Govt. public Examination. They are all applied for degree courses.

-10th class - one child studying 10th class – Revathi KTH05. And 11th class – three children – Rajeshwari KTH04,Tamilarasi KTH011 ,Sageetha KTH015. And 12th class - three children studying 12th class - KaveriKTH008, TamilarasiKTH009, MeenaKTH010.

-10th class – three children Rajeshwari KTH04,Tamilarasi KTH011 ,Sageetha KTH015, they got pass. They now admitted in 11th class,1.G.Tamilarasi – 393/500 marks,R.Rajeswari – 321/500 marks, M.Sangeetha – 321/500 marks

-Primary class (1-5th ) – 2 children. -Secondary class (6-8th ) – 7 children, High School (9-10th) – 5 children, Higher secondary (11-12th) – 6 children-on 11th September President Mr.Carlo sir along with our Director Mr. Chezhian sir visited Kurinji home and Kurinji building construction site.

New Bicycles to Small children:

Madam Ms.Tania during her visit bought new kids bicycle 3 no’s to our small children for they riding and learn. Our children were very much happy of having new kids cycle for them. They happily ride it with their friends. They thanked madam Tania for giving them cycles. .

LIBRARY, BANK, POST OFFICE VISIT:

On September 24th while children had Quarterly exam holidays, we took all our children to library, post

office, and to Indian bank; then came to know about how posts office operates and how they can utilize

their services.

Kodai Festival children participation:

In June on 17th to 18th Kodai Festival organised by District Government administration by collector in Forest Higher Secondary School, Jamunamarathur. In this festival all the Government departments displayed their department welfare activities, schemes for the people, and stalls with exhibition. The whole village people of Jawwadhu hills and outside public from down visited the festival. In that they organised cultural programme by the school children. on this day our children KTH 024 Gowri, KTH 001 Mahalaksmi, KTH 018 Saranya they were participated in dance program and performed two dances in the stage. They danced well and all were wished them.

-Also all our children visited the stalls and had eatables and enjoyed the festival programs. And also they were took part in our Childline stall display of activities of our Childline and Organisation activities with special dress given by Childline to welcome the chief guests District Collector, ministers, MP, MLA’s, Superintendent of police, and other district officers while they inaugurate the stall of Childline.

Children’s Participation in Competitions by DCPU:

-for Children’s day District Child Protection Unit of Tiruvannamalai told to conduct competitions among children – drawing, speech, composition competitions. From each home asked three children to participate in the competition conducted in DCPU. So from Kurinchi home on 10th November Revathi, Rajeshwari and Tamilarasi went to thiruvannamalai DCPO office and participated in the speech And Drawing competition.

Lifeline Centre for Prevention of Children from Alcoholism and Substances (Drug) Abuses

As per the guidance of the Social Welfare and Nutritious Programme[SW8(2)] Department G.o.(MS) No.51, the establishment of De-addiction center at Chengalpattu for children of Government Observation Homes and Special Homes has commenced On Jan 17th 2018 in a rented building at Alagesan Nagar, Chengalpet near Government Hospital.

As per the norms all Professional staff has been recruited. Needed Trainings are given i.e Induction training, JJ Act 2015 System, Capacity building training, Children Protection Policy, Finance Policy as well as Training on Handling Children in Conflict with Law in the process of De addiction & Rehabilitation.

Commissioner Visit

The Commissioner, Department of Social Defence visited the new de addiction centre on 18th January 2018.

The entire infrastructures i.e cots, beds, office furniture has been equipped in the rehabilitation centre.

The first child S.Shanthakumar, 16 yrs old from JJB, Chennai, was admitted on 23/02/2018 for de- addiction and rehabilitation. He came along with his mother and two police escorts at 7.30.pm to centre, during the admission he was crying and denied to stay at centre. We were explained about his present situation and threats in the native place. Gradually he was calm down and accepted to stay over there. In next two days he has changed lot and started his de addiction process.

Group Therapy with Parents

The second child Siva, 16 years old referred by JJB Chengalpet and admitted on 26.02.2018 at Rehabilitation Centre. He was nervous and half mind to accept the rehabilitation. After two days his confident level has been increased and cooperating very much for the entire process.Both Children underwent general medical checkup and psychiatric consultation. Under the prescription the health status is maintaining.

1) Establishing fellowship program for the recovery of children (eg: AA/ NA fellowship meetings- Homogenous group )

2) Support person program classes – 1:30 hrs (1st and 2nd degree relations of the children to provide conducive and supportive environment in the recovery)

Life Line Trust is ensuring child rights and child protection and also working committedly for the holistic development of the children. In the coming year 2018 – 2019 we will be going to give more concentration in Quality improvement of children care, children development and Life Line Trust is focusing more on imparting values, positive attitudes in children conducting Life skill training to conduct Life skills, child rights, child protection, individual child care plan and sustainable staff capacity building.
