WINTER IS COMING! YOU HAVE 2 CHOICES:
• 1. Be scared, angry, negative, pessimistic, miserable and sit in your room
OR
• 2. Be excited, happy, positive, optimistic, adventurous and embrace winter!

• Regular Coat : $40-$200

• Boots: $40-$200
• Socks: $5-$20
• Thermal underwear: $20-$60
• Sunglasses: $5-$40 ( Or you can spend over $200 on really good sunglasses too)
HOW MUCH IS CLOTHING
STAYING HEALTHY
• Get sunshine (Vitamin D) and fresh air any time you can
• Exercise
• Eat fruits and vegetables
• Wash your hands
• Take a multivitamin
• Get enough rest
STAYING SAFE
• Call 911 in case of an emergency
• Leave all water taps at home slightly open so they drip continuously
• Put salt on sidewalks and steps to melt ice
• Don’t drive in bad weather and drive slowly if you must
• Keep emergency supplies (first aid kit, blankets, food, water, flashlight, extra batteries phone charger) in car and home
• Keep gas tank full
• Wear bright clothes and walk against traffic. Don’t assume drivers can see you and remember they can’t stop quickly.

• Make sure you don’t have your hand in your pocket so wear gloves

STAYING HAPPY
• Be proactively social and don’t isolate yourself!
• Get a sunlamp to help keep Seasonal Affect Disorder and Depression away!
• Try new things and enjoy winter activities!
• Keep a gratitude journal!
HAVING FUN• Ice Skating
• Skiing/snowboarding/snow shoeing/sledding
• Make a snowman and snow angels!
• Have snow fights!
• Play board games, video games, and cards; making puzzles
• Cook and invite friends over for dinner
• Take photographs
• Go bowling, play billiards, watch movies or go shopping with friends
• Drink Hot Cocoa, Coffee, Tea
• Take a vacation somewhere warm (and take us with you)!
