Life Cycle of A Butterfly
This is an example of an instructional mini lesson on learning about the life
cycle of a butterfly for EDT 3470.
What is a life cycle?
All organisms have a life cycle that has a beginning and ending. During the life cycle the organism can often take different shapes and sizes. The Butterfly life cycle is very dramatic with different stages and forms from a tiny egg, to a caterpillar, to a pupa, and lastly, to an adult with wings.
Stages in Butterfly Life Cycle
The butterfly begins as a tiny egg.
The egg hatches and grows into a caterpillar or larva.
The larva forms a pupa or chrysalis.
The adult butterfly emerges from the pupa with it’s lovely wings.
