The Wired Word meets Sundays at 8:45am in Illingworth Hall (before 10 am worship), and Wednesdays at 10 am in the Council Room. Discus-sions are led typically by persons in-volved with our Christian Education Committee.

The Wired Word is an invigorating Bible study that allows us to see just how our faith interweaves with the world around us. We will look at very current topics…and spend time discussing how our faith might apply to these and related life issues.

Everyone who wants may receive an advance copy of the materials delivered to their email by the Thurs-day prior to gathering. Just email: [email protected] or call the church at 623-974-3611

(M-Thu 8am-2pm) and ask for Stacy. A few printed copies are available at the Reception Desk.

This is a great Bible study for those who are looking for something different and great for those who like to keep current on happenings in the world.

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase

Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps.

Please leave drinks, other than bottled water, in the Narthex at the Welcome Center where you may pick them up after the service. Thank you for your cooperation.

When our church receives thank you cards, we will put the names in our Sunday bulletin, but now you can also read the entire card on the board at Illingworth Hall. Also, if you have news items about our church or members, or other information you think may belong on a bulletin board, please bring them on Sundays to Pastor Sheryl or Susan Edwards, or other days to the Reception Desk in the Admin building. Regular committees and PW will continue to keep their bulletin boards going as they have been. Thank you!

Advent and Christmas Season is just around the corner, and we have a tradition of inviting EVERYONE to get involved decorating, and bookending it with FOOD! We encourage dressing for the Christmas/Holiday theme (or, it is slightly before Thanksgiving, too). But stay comfortable and safe.

Monday, November 25, all gather in Illingworth Hall 9am (come a little early for fresh donuts - and there’s usually one team of guys who start earlier than that on the outdoor stable/nativity). We will open with prayer, and people will get to choose what places they would like to help decorate - Illingworth, Chapel, Sanctuary, Administration Building, Outdoors (several places), etc. Decorations are already here - some out of storage, and some new. Custodians will be with us. Volunteers exert themselves to the degree that they are able - there will be sit-down jobs, too. Everyone present is a partner in our efforts.

Gather back in Illingworth Hall and continue fellowship. Then when most is done, the Congregational Life Committee will declare it Time For Lunch—and we will have homemade chili and fixin’s, free for all who have been there that morning. Staff will join in the meal, too!

Please sign up, new or returning, members and newcomer/visitors welcome! Call Stacy in the church office by noon Wednesday, November 20. We need to know how much chili to prepare. Congregational Life Committee: Debbie Young, Kathy Owens, Sherrill Tyacke, Jean Rau; pastoral liaison Rev. Sheryl.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY Faith Presbyterian Church, as part of the West Valley Presbyterian Coalition, is happy to announce that construction has begun on a new

As a congregation Faith Church has been a Habitat Sponsor for many years. Congregational members also make individual contributions to Habitat. All members who wish to make individual contributions should contact Kelley Arnold for the appropriate paper work.

Individual contributions qualify for an Arizona State Income Tax CREDIT up to a maximum of $400 per individual or $800 per married couple.

In the words of Santos and Danielle: “May God bless your heart and thank you so much for being amazing people and helping people’s dreams come true, and helping them to own their homes. You’re amazing.”
